We are located in the quiet town of Cornwall, just 10 minutes from downtown Charlottetown and centrally located to the island's beautiful attractions. You are just 40 minutes drive to Anne's Land and 25 minutes to Victoria by the Sea, a beautiful fishing village. A lovely 2 hour drive to east and west end of island. We are family friendly with a large indoor pool/sauna, continental breakfast.

We felt judged as soon as we arrived. The old lady was warning us of something every time she saw us. We were not able to sit outside just talking (no noise). She made us feel like we were not welcome there. It was a first and a last time for us. The swimming pool is disgusting the breakfast cold, the coffee not drinkable. Highly recommended to choose another hotel.

Treated wrong. We paid a lot for the room and to be able to swim in the pool. They give swimming lessons at that pool and the hotel guests have to wait for the swimming lessons to be over before using the pool. Well, we were allowed in the water but had to swim in the corner. The swimming instructor was very unkind to my kids, yelled at them for swimming in the middle of the pool and I told front desk. The lady at the desk was so mean to me. She did not care that we couldn't swim at all. Like I paid to use the pool and couldn't. The older lady just made me feel so unwelcome. By right the hotel guests should have priority over the pool, not the kids taking swimming lessons. The older lady treated me like dirt, and I was standing there in tears. I just left and will never stay there again. Just heads up people, stay somewhere else!

This is not a 5 star hotel but the mattresses and customer service felt like it was. They accommodated my gluten allergy, the suite was roomy and comfortable, and the pool and sauna were clean and inviting. The hotel is centrally located and easy to get to scenic drives and Charlottetown.

NOT dog friendly. Humiliated me for having my period which the bleeding came unexpectedly. I have a service dog who the person at the front desk tried to tell me I can’t bring. I called ahead and I explained that she is a service dog and that if anyone had allergies, to room us away from anyone with allergies. She did so, however was disrespectful in doing so. I’m female and unfortunately began my period and a little bit of my blood ended up on the fitted sheet only (not the mattress). I was very embarrassed about this. The employee wanted a $300 damage deposit because of the dog. She went to check the room before we left as we had agreed for dog damage and my dog is well-behaved and caused no damage. The employee chastised me about my own menstrual blood which is not my fault that I leaked from my tampon and pad. I’m grateful we had a place to stay. Very clean. However very disrespectful, inappropriate, and discriminatory.

Here is what I found when I opened a drawer in the bathroom of my unit. I will let the pictures speak for themselves. Staff wasn't really apologetic. Front desk lady said; "House keeping must have missed checking the drawers", no kidding! As well, lots of dirt under the bed and black mould in the tub and shower. Peeling paint around the bathroom window. Cable TV didn't work on most channels. The microwave worked, and there's plenty of hot water.

We booked a room for two nights and because of a family emergency, asked for a change to a family room for one night and they happily accomodated our request at no extra charge. This is a budget hotel. It delivered all that was promised for the price. Staff were friendly and the breakfast was more than adequate. The pool was small, but clean. We would go to this hotel again.

I stayed in room 154, which is great because it was 1 flight up. Staff was very friendly. This room was so clean if I didn't know any better, I'd think I was at a Marriott or Hilton hotel. The beds were super comfy and I love the wood look laminate flooring. Tub was clean enough for a bubble bath and the breakfast was just delicious. This place was designed with the guest's comfort in mind and it shows. I'm looking for a reason to come back, very few places impress me as much as this hotel. The only thing that needs improvement is they need more lounge chairs by the pool. There were only 4 chairs and a table, the pool is shallow enough for the kids and they even have a sauna and a place to wash up! Excellent stay!

With this hotel you get what you pay for. The beds and bedding are very comfortable and the breakfast included has a little bit more compared to the standard continental breakfast at similar price accommodations. We stayed two days but I next time I would probably swing for something a little more expensive. That being said The Dutch Inn could use a lot more "spit and polish." The grounds and flower beds are unkempt and weedy. Weeds grow along the driveway and around the two main entrances making for a very shabby appearance. The front carpets going into the hotel look like they've never been cleaned. And the two sets of glass doors going into the lobby were filthy. Although the room was fairly clean the shower tiles, which looked newish, had a lot of scum build up as if it doesn't get wiped down properly each day. As a former owner of an independent motel business I feel with a little extra work and attention to detail this motel could have more curb appeal and better ratings.

The location is quite central and easy to reach from most places. The hotel is certainly trying hard to provide a good experience. It is NOT a super luxury resort - but then - neither is the price. The rooms are VERY clean, well appointed. everything you would expect is there - and then some ! ( fridge / iron & board / in-room coffee maker / etc) The staff is very friendly and a joy to interact with. The WIFI is very fast and stable. The breakfast ( included) has EVERYTHING anyone could want - to start a day. ( Bread / Toast / french pastry / pancakes / fresh fruit / yoghurt / eggs / cereal / etc ) The beds are VERY comfortable All-in-All a very pleasant experiece - well worth the money.
