We stayed for 2 nights there and had a very nice bedroom on the 2d floor. The sea view is amazing and as it is a common terrace, many people are watching the sunset from the terrace (with or without a glass of wine). The bedroom is on the small side and the bathroom on the very small side. Mattress and pillows are very good and everything is very clean. Also, the restaurant is really nice and the food is excellent. We had our breakfast and dinners for 2 days there and were not disappointed. Service was a tad slow on Saturday evening, but staff was very friendly. Would definitely recommend it!

We were staying ine night at the Riotel Bonaventure and opted for dinner at the hotel restaurant (Kano).

We enjoyed the fish and chips and salmon tartar and service was fast and friendly.

White wine was good and reasonably priced and our server Azalee did a good job serving the table.

Handy spot, good food and reasonably priced wine for a stay in Bonaventure.

As a bonus there was an Acadian festival across the street from our hotel and an interesting Acadian museum.

If you stay here, make sure you get a second floor room facing the ocean. Ours faced the street which rendered the balcony useless. Without the view we were left with a very small basic room. The bathroom was tiny with a pedestal sink and nowhere to put anything ! Not much of a beach but there is a walkway along the water which was very nice.
We tried to eat at Cafe Acadian down the road, but hadn’t realized we needed a reservation. (On a Wednesday night!!). We then had to eat at the restaurant at the hotel which was pretty good with a nice view.

No hot water until called to have problem fixed. When problem fixed, wasn't told as phone ringer did not work when receptionist called us to tell us. Sound proofing in room POOR - could clearly hear people walking around above us & a lot of noise from all night paving project on road in front of hotel. Service, quality of food and cost in restaurant POOR - prices high (in comparison to other restaurants we ate in during week in Gaspe) and food not great. Bathroom smallest we have ever encountered in many years of lengthy travels. View from balcony lovely but cheap plastic chairs & no table provided. Property and staff all need significant improvement.

Despite nice scenery , the cleaning and the rooms are below average and the worse is the rooms sound proof. You don't hear only the toilet flashing from different rooms or every step of the person in the room above but you clearly hear any conversations from the rooms around you.
If is this a part of Gaspe tourism , I can say I'm very disappointed.

Great location, comfy room, excellent restaurant with a wonderful view out over the water, efficient service and competitive price.
Small parking lot could be an issue for some but no problem with our motorbikes. Some traffic noise during the day (city side room) but night time was quiet so no problem.

Very friendly staff great spot on water in middle of bike/walking path along water. Nice restaurant in site as well with nice waterfront view. Adirondack chairs in back of property for relaxing overlooking water. Very Small rooms which is not a big deal for me and there's a porch with chairs out the back door which is real nice.

I've stayed in this Riotel several times and every time is a real pleasure. The location (right on the sea) is great, the two restaurants are superb and the beds are about the most comfortable I've ever slept in. And the service has always been exceptional, with very friendly and welcoming staff.

This review is a bit late (almost Xmas now) and my last stay there was back in October, on the last weekend that they were open before closing for the winter season.

My only "nit" with this hotel is that as lovely as it is, the electrical wiring is fairly old and there are simply not enough ac outlets in the room. In fact, unless I unplugged a light, tv or radio, there was not even one available outlet in the room I had. The only outlet I could use to charge my computer and camera was the shaver outlet in the bathroom. In spite of this, I would definitely stay here again.

We visited on the very last week of the tourist season, kind of a bittersweet time of year. The weather was spectacular. It turned out to be a very relaxing day, reading on the deck in anticipation of our journey home. The view was amazing and the room was quite comfortable with duvets and plenty of pillows.

The restaurant was just OK. Service was somewhat indifferent. The servers were clearly not comfortable speaking English, if they knew any.

There was not a lot to do in the town, but there were a couple of very nice boutiques open across the street. We would stay here again.

Lovely location - but very disappointed - this hotel was recommended to me as part of the "Gaspe experience" due to it's reputation. Well, it was a real disappointment; extremely small room, dated cheap furniture, not very clean and the large stand-alone A/C unit was extremely noisy and completely ruined our night's sleep! This small hotel chain is extremely overrated and over priced!
