After a long day of driving, checking in eat the Hostellerie Baie Bleue was a very nice surprise. Location on the water, very clean and modern property. Our room was located across the road from the Main Hotel. It was very comfortable and contained all the amenities. It was quiet except for the odd traffic noises on route 132. Breakfast was reasonably priced and a hearty meal.
I am not one to complain, but I experienced the most rude hotel reception in my lifetime of traveling. The older woman clerk who checked us in did not even say hello and looked angry. When I greeted her after she started our booking, she became passive aggressive, flipping paper around looking for our booking. I speak pretty well in French but she almost rolled her eyes when I said she could serve us in French. Later that evening when we thought the door to go to the restaurant from the parking lot was locked, she confronted us rudely to say we were at the wrong entrance, marched outside and loudly announced where we should go. Unbelievable! If the rooms had been decent the stay would have been tolerable but not so. Dingy, old beds, outdated decor, no bathroom fan. I would never stay there again. Friends traveling with us agreed. It was disappointing to say the least. And that front desk clerk needs some customer service training!…
When we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted by a very friendly and helpful gentleman at reception. Our room was on the top (third) floor and I would definitely recommend either that or the second floor as opposed to the ground floor. We had a view of the water, though from across the street. They also have buildings close to the beach which I might inquire about next time. Our room was clean, modern, and very comfortable. We also enjoyed the sunset from the second-floor patio of the on-site restaurant ("Resto-Pub Saint-Joseph"). Had a great stay and would definitely recommend.
Stopped in just for breakfast on our travels to Gaspe for a vacation. The restaurant portion is called Pub Saint Joseph. Great service, wonderful food, and all reasonably priced. As we traveled along the whole southern coast of the Gaspe Peninsula, we found that this restaurant is about the only place to get a decent meal. May just stop in on our way back south.
The hotel location is really good everything is walkable lots of parking etc. The room is comfortable I did have 2 beds on my own was great if there’s more than 2-3 people the room would be cramped I think. The bathroom was good size and modern clean. The room doesn’t come with breakfast which is a little disappointing they do have a restaurant on site where the staff are friendly. The only downside to this hotel it’s on a busy road and unfortunately the sound proofing isn’t that great I had a room on the ground floor the view was great.
Well located, clean, and cozy motel. The team was very helpful during our stay. Breakfast is hosted at the restaurant which is on the far side of the sparkling lot, seems to be a pretty happening pub at night as well.
Nice hotel with two buildings located by the ocean. The room is of a good size and the beds very comfortable. The room seems to have been renovated although the furniture like beds, desk an the old style tv closet are of different style and Colors. If the bathroom has been renovated, then they have patched the job, the sink is too small and is not levelled resulting that the soap falls all the time in the sink, there is no hook to hold the hand towel, and the bath tub is slippery (no anti slip mat available). The electric outlet is quite overcharged with plugs and the tv cable lies on the floor. At check in we were advised that due to COVID, the room will not be serviced during our stay, also if we need anything we can ask the room maids: the next day we needed an extra bath towel and we were told to go to the reception.…
The front desk did not have our reservation but found a place for us in the annex building. The room was renovated and lovely - but a bit small for our family of 3. I liked the view, but the building faces onto a busy road so it was quite noisy. The hotel also has a nice pool. We decided to leave a day early since it felt cramped.
We had a standard room on the first floor. No view of the water, the cars hide the ocean on that floor. Room was fine, bed was comfortable. Really pleasant staff. The only this is the walls and floors are thin. We were woken up by the footsteps from above us the first night and the alarm next door the next.
This hotel is handy and close to the sea. The king size bed was excellent and our room was recently refurbished. We had easy parking and a room with a view. Good wifi connectivity, clean room. Friendly bilingual service
