23 years later, here I am again with friends from France!
In fact, this gîte located in a former presbytery is still present.
Superb welcome from our hosts, Josée and Michel.
We spent 2 nights and took advantage of the surrounding sites, Miguasha, Carleton...
Michel was in the kitchen both mornings and cooked us magnificent lunches and more! Unheard of in other gîtes, this is a reference.
We had the opportunity to get along well with the couple and it is with great pleasure that we will see them again!
Thank you for everything !

+1
FABULOUS, the setting in the old rectory is beautiful, decorated with great taste.
The welcome by Michel was very warm despite the hour in advance (trapped by the time change of our cell phones). And what about breakfasts we have never had anything like it all over the world, Extra Ordinary is really the word, thanks again to Michel.
Bravo and good luck.

I stayed there 2 nights here and it was a very charming place to visit, a beautiful discovery in an area with many interesting places to see and also the beautiful beach in Gaspesié,
The house is a traditional construction from the early North American architecture style, with big spaces, a huge living room, a beautiful front yard and backyard, many rooms and more,. Now, the most interesting fact is the detailed decoration found in each area of the house and this is where all the charm of the place is earned as the elements here make this space a unique experience for sure.
Another big highlight is the breakfast which is definitely awesome!, many fruits, lots of sweets, bread, a big selection of teas and an excellent coffee.
2 little details that could improve: One, it's incredible that there are so many awesome details all around the house, but the bathroom does not has nice amenities like shampoo or soap as such a lovely place should offer and second, It would be nice to have a bit more flexibility with the time of breakfast, 8:30AM is a good time but for some of us who like to take our time as we are on holidays, it's nice to wake up late sometimes.
The place is run by the owners and they are very nice and attentive, they love to talk and share stories and jokes so, prepare yourself for a great time here.
Overall in it's category, this place is 5/5 and a sure bet for anyone who likes the ¨cultural style¨ traveling.
Would I return here?, for sure!.

Thanks to Josee and Mickel for a very special stay. The house used to be the home of the local priest. The yard and garden are lovely. Josee has menus and literature from the area. After over 20 years of marriage, we were in the bridal suite, with a sitting room and old-fashioned tub. Breakfast was the best of our three-week trip: yogurt with fruit and granola, blueberry cake, date bars, scrambled eggs with cheese, ham. We also sampled a Québécois treat: melted Brie, maple syrup, and nuts, eaten on delicious pieces of toasted baguette. We wished we had more time to enjoy this outstanding gite.

You should try this B&B. Beautiful, charming, wonderful hosts. Every little object is at its place, and there is an warm atmosphere of well being. Love it unconditionally. The village is well situated, outside Carleton, and is perfect for a stop over. Also visit Miguasha.

The hospitality of Josée and Michel make all the difference in this charming B&B. We stayed two nights and drove to Carleton for dinner both nights. We visited the beaches at Carleton, the view at the summit on Mt Joseph and the fossils at Miguasha. A great part of our Gaspe circle tour.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The people who run it are fabulous, and they make an amazing breakfast. The house is like a museum with many antiques, but modern amenities. The bathroom is good and has a big tub. You get a big TV with tons of channels and an onscreen guide. Wi-Fi is excellent. There was no air conditioning in my room. You share a big refrigerator with other guests.
I did find the lighting in the bathroom and by the bed to be very poor.
The house is close to Rte. 132, but very rural. If you are looking for a quiet place, this will do well. Be advised that they do not accept credit cards so bring plenty of cash. Also, try to have dinner before you arrive as the only local restaurant isn’t very good (but it will do if you need it).
If you want a complete Quebec experience, this is it.
Scooper47’s Top Tip: The area’s local attraction, Miguasha National Park, is a rip-off in my opinion. They charge $20 to look at their famous fossil. There are plenty of places in Gaspésie where you can walk along the beach for free, starting with Carleton-sur-Mer.

Our grade is 4.5. Michel and Josée made us feel at home and gave us a taste of Québec hospitality. Excellent home-made breakfast including fruits, omelette, yoghurt, brie cheese and bread. Michel and Josée stayed with us during breakfast which was very pleasant as we had a chance to chat for a while. We definitely recommend this accommodation and thank them for being so welcoming!

My husband and I stayed at the gite 'A l'abri du clocher' for one night when we travelled around Gaspesie. Josee and Michel are great hosts and their house has many personal touches to make guests very welcomed. Josee's breakfast is by far the best we ever had in a B&B. The rooms have different themes and are decorated with taste. The bedrooms and bathrooms are impeccable like the rest of the house. We highly recommend it.
