We went there my spouse and me last august. Was a little scared about some reviews about the place and restaurant. Boy was i totally surprised and satisfied when we saw the room down by the pool. Sunny well ventilated and as soon as she opened the curtains. The see 10 feet from us with it's salty smell. We were... More

Just returned from a bus trip. We stayed here for three nights. It was like reliving my childhood. I loved it. The rooms are clean, nicely decorated, some have a/c.They have a spa, hair salon, pool, lawn games, diningroom has a rustic ski lodge atmosphere, good for large groups. They have a bar and entertainment at night. We had so... More

The island is very small 1,300 people. You must take a ferry to get there (free). The La Roche Pleureuse is made up of motel-type rooms. Not much in amenities but the service in the restaurant was great. There was an entertainer who sang the nights we were there. Dancers from the island itself taught us line dances. Outside of... I booked two rooms through Expedia, but one of the people travelling with me could not make it, so upon arriving at the hotel I asked the girl at check-in what my options were. She was a nice girl, who genuinely wanted to be of service. She told me that if we did not occupy the room, she would provide... More

Motel Roche felt like stepping into a different universe. The place contained a sense mystery, and brought back the best feelings from your childhood. More like a resort than a motel, with a salt water pool overlooking the water, lots of pathways winding through the beautifully maintained gardens, a playground, and mini golf course. Plus a lodge that offered wonderfully... More

Stayed at this hotel last year forgot to post. Free ferry ride to start which is an added bonus from where I live. This hotel is dated like going back to 60-70's but so well maintained and clean it was nice to unplug for a couple days. We had breakfast in the restaurant which was very good..Fresh made. There is... More

Very old place. Clean, nice view, and good food on the premises. But this is it. Would need to be refresh. Ex: old lamp TV of 14 in. They don't even sell them anymore. Wi-Fi connection is slow. Decor is outdated. No A-C in the room where we were. Breakfast starts at 7.30 AM and front desk opens at the... More

I spend three nights at the LaRoche Pleureuse during a bus trip to Quebec. All of our meals were eaten at the restaurant and were delicous. The rooms were very comfortable and clean though had a very small television and no alarm clocks. The view of the St. Lawrence River was spectacular. The staff was wonderful, especially Judith, who accompanied... More

My husband and I went here for a three night stay on a chartered bus tour. We enjoyed the trip very much. The view is awesome. Yes, the rooms aren't as up to date as you would find at other hotels but that is intentional. It was a nice relaxing trip. The food was excellent. The staff was great especially... More
