Charm in a old house located along the St Lawrence River in Pointe au Pic. Eight traditionnally furnished rooms, all with private bathroom, four of them with a view of the St Lawrence River. After a good night, a continental breakfast with homemade ingredients is waiting for you. Television, wireless network and a small fridge are offered for free. Located along the "Route du Fleuve", it's a must stop if you want to have a change of scenery.

We went there to go to the casino. The place from the outside looks nice but our room was too small. We had trouble walking in it and it was too hot. Otherwise, the room was nice. Unfortunatly, we had to cancel the second night and the owner was not happy about it. We understand, we had to cancel before but we didn’t have the choice. I don’t think i will return to this place.

Thanks for your comment. Our nice little hostel offers a different experience to its hosts by offering a very frienfdly bistro, a beautiful veranda with the view on the St-Lawrence River and clean and very convenient rooms with a lot of amenities (private bathrooms, small fridge, coffee from Café Charlevoix and fans). We really are there to make your stay as pleasant as we can! For the cancellation fees, the cancellation policy is very clearly stated when you book. I don't think we were upset :) It's 50% of the total price when it's within 72 hours and 100% when less than 24 hours.

The rooms are cozy and very clean and comfortable with everything you'd expect. The fridge and microwaves are shared with other guests. It's not really a hotel. It's more like a combination of a private room and bathroom with some shared amenities and access to a very pretty cafe/bar with a common room that also houses many games and books and a spectacular view. I wish we had stayed longer. The food is delicious, the wine menu is spectacular, and the hospitality and ambience are five star. This place is special. The staff speak excellent English and they are so friendly. The continental breakfast is a true breakfast. Cannot say enough good things. I loved this place so much. The location is situated next to something like six or eight restaurants within walking distance, and despite having food on site, they provide a guide for all the local food for guests en suite.

Room Tip: I'm not sure if it's possible, but I would ask for a room overlooking the river.

Greatly enjoyed a two day stay at this bed and breakfast. The room was comfortable and nicely decorated. The staff was remarkably helpful and kind. And, the bistro, which serves lunch and dinner had great food and service. There were multiple vegetarian and vegan options and for a great selection of local wines, beers, and ciders. Everything about Les Pinsons des Rives reminded me of the bistro in Louise Penny's Three Pines series and I highly recommend staying here to anyone visiting the area.

This place was recommended to us by a friend who had stayed here before. Following this advice was the best choice we could have made! To our advantage, we were lucky to enjoy a special treatment (we were the only guests during our stay) by Manager Adam. Adam was the best host ever: he welcomed us open heartedly, showed us around and pampered us with a perfectly personalized dinner (including wine recommendation) and breakfast (more than we could ever eat :)). Adam provided us with interesting facts about the region and had great suggestions for day trips around La Malbaie. The room was very charming and equipped with everything you need. What we loved the most was enjoying the sunrise over the river from the bed!

We stayed here for a weekend and truly enjoyed our time here. Les Pinsons is a great local business that has an amazing vibe. We had a great room that overlooked the river and the view was splendid. We especially enjoyed the bistro bar and its friendly local clientele. Our visit to La Malbaie was made all the more pleasant because we chose to stay at Les Pinsons des Rives.
