We went there to go to the casino. The place from the outside looks nice but our room was too small. We had trouble walking in it and it was too hot. Otherwise, the room was nice. Unfortunatly, we had to cancel the second night and the owner was not happy about it. We understand, we had to cancel before but we didn’t have the choice. I don’t think i will return to this place.
The rooms are cozy and very clean and comfortable with everything you'd expect. The fridge and microwaves are shared with other guests. It's not really a hotel. It's more like a combination of a private room and bathroom with some shared amenities and access to a very pretty cafe/bar with a common room that also houses many games and books and a spectacular view. I wish we had stayed longer. The food is delicious, the wine menu is spectacular, and the hospitality and ambience are five star. This place is special. The staff speak excellent English and they are so friendly. The continental breakfast is a true breakfast. Cannot say enough good things. I loved this place so much. The location is situated next to something like six or eight restaurants within walking distance, and despite having food on site, they provide a guide for all the local food for guests en suite.…
Greatly enjoyed a two day stay at this bed and breakfast. The room was comfortable and nicely decorated. The staff was remarkably helpful and kind. And, the bistro, which serves lunch and dinner had great food and service. There were multiple vegetarian and vegan options and for a great selection of local wines, beers, and ciders. Everything about Les Pinsons des Rives reminded me of the bistro in Louise Penny's Three Pines series and I highly recommend staying here to anyone visiting the area.
This place was recommended to us by a friend who had stayed here before. Following this advice was the best choice we could have made! To our advantage, we were lucky to enjoy a special treatment (we were the only guests during our stay) by Manager Adam. Adam was the best host ever: he welcomed us open heartedly, showed us around and pampered us with a perfectly personalized dinner (including wine recommendation) and breakfast (more than we could ever eat :)). Adam provided us with interesting facts about the region and had great suggestions for day trips around La Malbaie. The room was very charming and equipped with everything you need. What we loved the most was enjoying the sunrise over the river from the bed!
We stayed here for a weekend and truly enjoyed our time here. Les Pinsons is a great local business that has an amazing vibe. We had a great room that overlooked the river and the view was splendid. We especially enjoyed the bistro bar and its friendly local clientele. Our visit to La Malbaie was made all the more pleasant because we chose to stay at Les Pinsons des Rives.
