We stayed two nights here but wished we were staying longer. Our room was beautiful and the owners take such care over all the small details to make the stay feel really special. We were in La Brume but any of the rooms would be lovely here. You can walk down to the small harbour with your beer or wine or stroll along the beach in the evening sun. Breakfast was a real gourmet affair and delicious. The owners took exceptional care with Covid precautions. Highly recommend staying here and we will be booking up again.

....but this place nearly beats it. And we must admit, that at home we would never ever have such a fantastic four course breakfast served by the nicest host we met during our whole journey. A perfect place to relax while enjoying a marvellous view.

This was our 5th stay at Auberge des Eaux Vives since 2013, and just like the 4 previous times, we left looking forward to the next time we will stay there. Sylvain and Johanne have created a comfortable, relaxed inn that is a perfect place from which to explore all the Charlevoix region has to offer. Sylvain is so helpful in planning where to eat and has never steered us wrong with his recommendations. He also is extremely knowledgeable about the area and provides great insight when planning things to do. Johanne prepares incredible breakfasts each morning, not only delicious, but also balanced with a mix of grains, fruit, dairy and protein that leave you feeling ready to take on whatever you have planned for that day. We love the atmosphere at the inn and all the spaces (indoors and outdoors) there are to relax after a long day of hiking or sightseeing. Charlevoix is noted for its gastronomic tradition, and we like to buy local cheeses, meats, etc. and bring them back to the inn to enjoy on the deck while taking in gorgeous views of the St Lawrence River. There is a refrigerator available in the dining area and the inn has all the plates, glasses, silverware, tablecloths and other utensils (corkscrews, knives, spreaders, etc.) you’ll need to enjoy your “take home” lunch or dinner. We always stay in the La Brunante room, which has a small balcony overlooking the St. Lawrence. The room is extremely comfortable, there is a large armoire to store your things, 2 chairs, a small table and plenty of well-located outlets for your electronics. The bathroom is spacious and well-lit with an excellent shower and plenty of counter space around the sink to put your toiletry items. There isn’t a thing we would change – so well thought-out. There are so many things to do in the area, with great parks and trails to hike, villages to visit, whale watching, culinary touring, gardens, art galleries and terrific restaurants. After 5 visits to Charlevoix, we are still discovering new things to do and revisiting areas we really enjoyed in the past. Traffic is light, parking is easy, the countryside is beautiful, so it is a pleasure driving around the region. From the inn you can walk to a very nice garden and it is a short walk down the hill to a marina with tables and chairs that offer nice, waterside views of the St Lawrence. Lastly, I will say that the inn is spotless. Sylvain and Johanne are perfectionists, and their attention to detail shows in everything they do. All is so neat and organized in the common areas, and they have created a relaxed ambience that makes us feel at home. Everything is here to make your stay in Charlevoix a truly memorable one. We wouldn’t think of staying anyplace else when coming to the region. Auberge des Eaux Vives gets our highest recommendation and it is our favorite bed and breakfast, bar none; always a delightful experience. After a 3 hour delay on Air Canada we were ready to enjoy our weekend away and the auberge met all our expectations. The view of the St. Lawrence River from our room was memorable and the room most comfortable. The inn is spotless and visitors have access to coffee and tea making facilities. The hosts are excellent cooks so breakfast was delicious. Sylvain made sure we had all the information we needed to make the most of our short break.

Book it! We stayed at L'Auberge for 2 nights and loved it. Clean, comfortable, quiet, and welcoming (which is sometimes lacking in a B&B!) We felt like we could make ourselves at home and even chose to stay in one night for popcorn and a movie. Sylvain is very organized and welcoming and Johanne is an amazing cook - they even accommodated our early departure and packed us a delicious lunch since we were missing breakfast. Don't hesitate, you won't regret staying here.

As soon as you walk into this B & B, you know it's going to be a great experience. From the welcoming attitude of the host to the tasteful decor and amazing view of the river, you will know that you made a good choice of places to stay. The rooms are comfortable and updated. The 4-course breakfast was superb. The sitting areas and dining rooms (inside and outside) have beautiful views and are extremely comfortable and welcoming. I didn't want to leave! You will not be disappointed with a stay at Auberge des Eaux Vives.

My fiance (Eric) and I (Daniela) stayed at Auberge des Eaux Vives for 2 nights in June 2018 (and I still can't stop thinking about how amazing it was)! Sylvain truly made us feel welcome and comfortable. We are from Ontario and since we came home over a year ago, we still can't stop talking to family and friends and even each other about how great the experience was. I had never stayed at a B&B before this one so I was a little bit hesitant about the whole idea but I am glad we found this gem! The views from the room we had were spectacular and the breakfast on both days far exceeded our expectations. Sylvain helped us book our whale watching tour and ensured we had the proper warm gear for the St. Lawrence (we didn't believe that at the end of June we'd need hats and coats but he made sure we brought them and I'm glad he did - it really was freezing out there!) - Overall a 5/5 experience. We will be back to visit again and highly recommend it to anyone looking to travel here, you will not regret it!…

This is our 4th visit to Auberge des Eaux Vives, and it won't be our last. The room is well appointed with a very comfortable bed with fantastic views that change each time you look outside! The breakfast is always a treat for the eyes and the stomach - The owners are friendly and very helpful yet unobtrusive. We highly recommend this B&B
