This hotel was right near the water, very clean and comfortable and the staff was extremely helpful despite my lack of French. We arrived past the check in time of 7pm and the manager greeted me and walked us to our room. There was also free breakfast. Highly recommend.

We know a lot of people that recommend this restaurant so we tried it ourselves. We went there for supper. The menus was quite extensive but was fairly basic with nothing that would be termed Haute Cuisine. When it arrived the food was tasty and very good. There are two ways to order your meal: individual items or a main course with either soup, salad or pate; desert and coffee for $7.50 extra. Would we go there again for a basic meal - definitely yes.

Been stopping to sleep at this motel for years now and usually quite satisfied with accomodations. My wife and I just wished the motel management would've advised us of the stay of 2 buses worth of hockey youngsters and their handlers that occupied just about every room and ran and screamed until late in the evening when we really needed peace and quiet to prepare us for the next day's travel. I had to call the management at an emergency number to ask him to come and control the savages. We will definitely not book a room at Motel Le Mirage again in the future. The reception desk is supposed to be open until midnight but it was closed before 10 pm...talk about service. Disappointed too because the same group of little savages and their handlers disturbed clients at the local Mikes Restaurant in the same way.

Went to the restaurant to eat while I was staying at Fairmont Richelieu, the food is just ok I have had better food. People there keep staring at is like we just arrived from Mars, our waiter was ok, service was ok, nothing over the top, food at Charlevoix isn't that great so I was not expecting much!

We stayed here x2 - and it was very close to walking anywhere within this town. There is a lot of significance, as it was created by a meteorite millions of years ago. Most of this are that was affected & the crater is covered by the St. Lawrence River. We stayed here - rooms & B.R's were clean and very adequate. We flew into the Charlevoix Airport - very friendly even though there was a language barrier, tied down for our O/N stays with excellent taxi service - La Malbaie Taxi - and not overcharged for parking fees. Restaurant is associated with this hotel - fair pricing and they do provide their menu's in English - a bonus! Went into the local Museum while there, and there was a presentation of our of their own artists - Louise Forestier and, hands-on workshops for children. Needed to know the code to get into the hotel area - a good security feature and they had free internet in your room - had to ask for the username and password for use in the restaurant. Very scenic bay as the tide wains in and out daily. A wonderful respite for travellers.

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights and were happy to have chosen it. The price was right for a room with a queen bed and a standard bed. The motel and its rooms are well maintained and clean, with a modern bathroom and comfortable beds. Our room had a sliding door that lead directly to the parking lot, but it was securely locked with a bar. There is a restaurant on the property that we used for breakfast--it was quite good with an extensive selection and good prices. The staff was always helpful and friendly. Location of the motel is just 1 mile south of the town center. Although we stayed in La Malbaie, we spent our days in the Tadoussac area on cruises/whale watches. Although Tadoussac is only 42 miles away (abouit 1 hr drive), in retrospect it might have been better to stay there and pay the higher hotel rates. There is not much to do in La Malbaie itself--we never got the chance to see the local museum.

We found this lovely gem while staying at the Manoir Richelieu. This became a favourite spot for breakfast. For a family of 4 (including 2 adults and 2 teenagers), our breakfast would usually come to about $50 for very hearty breakfasts. Menus are available in english if need be. If you are looking for your egg over hard...ask for an "oeuf crevee"! The washrooms were clean and updated. I cannot comment on the hotel as we didn't stay there. The restaurant is located at 185 Boulevard de Comporte in La Malbaie (along the main road that skirts the bay). We drove from the hotel, but you could probably walk there in about 30 minutes. It is located right across the street from a lovely heritage stone Presbyterian church. We had excellent service by Suzanne....merci beaucoup!

I can't say anything about the hotel, but the breakfast at the restaurant is outstanding and just a short drive from the Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu. Two eggs with 2 sausage, toast, fruit, potatoes and coffee 6.55 CDN and eggs benedict with potatoes, fruit, toast and coffee 12.95 CDN. If need be, ask for a menu in English.
