Situated on the St Lawrence river, beautiful view, restaurants are at a walking distance.Other attractions are within 5 to 15 kilometers. It's a 5 minute drive to the casino.Rooms are a little bit small but the food is excellent.
The property is nicely located on the 'main' street. The room was small but very clean and cozy. It has free parking and wifi. The breakfast was really delicious and included in the price as well. You get way more than what you pay for. Definitely recommend, you cannot go wrong for the price.
We were coming from Baie St. Catherine after going whale watching when we came upon this lovely auberge (B&B) We decided to stop and eat dinner because we were looking for lobster. The atmosphere was lovely. The auberge has a clear view of the St. Lawrence and of the bay. We watched seals play in the water while we ate. The restaurant was very clean. Two of us had allergy requirements and they were able to accommodate this. The food was incredible. All of us absolutely loved our food from the lobster bisque to the creme brulee, sugarpie and strawberry/rhubarb upside down cake. The staff was lovely and the 4 courses came at the right timing. Would we go back!!!?? oh yes. over and over and over again. Thanks Marmite for the lovely evening!
Daniel and Marie welcomed us like family into their beautiful Inn for our short romantic gateway in the Charlevoix region. They were very considerate of our needs and the room they picked for us was very charming. They are also great guides to the numerous activities to choose from nearby. And what about that gorgeous view ! As for the dining experience, breakfast and dinner both surpassed our expectations. Thank you to the team Auberge la Marmite for making that weekend unforgettable. - Francis & Dominique
My significant other and I spent two nights there: had a really nice stay. Staff is great, would do anything to please the guests. Had a view on the St. Lawrence river from our room (#2). Breakfast was simply amazing.
If you like to go back in time this is the place the auberge is from 1865,no worry it been renew. very good hospitality near casino great food will go back anytime.breakfast include in room price. bit chilly at night make sure you bring extra clothes if you go for a walk after souper.
Four of us spent two nights at this wonderful Inn. Our rooms were very clean and provided comfortable accommodation. The breakfast which was included in the very good price was wonderful and the service very good. We ate an evening meal which was three courses and each course was excellent...our friends enjoyed the Surf and Turf, my husband a seafood platter and I had the salmon..the Creme Brûlée for dessert was one of the best ever. Sitting at a window table overlooking the beautiful St. Lawrence river made this a 5 star evening. The Inn is located in La Malbaie and you can easily drive to Tadousac(whale watching) and explore the many small quaint towns along the river.....would return to the Inn and the Charlevoix area without hesitation. Everyone we encountered could speak English which was most helpful.…
