To say nothing of the amazing view. Hoe unfortunate that we stayed here only one night. High on the cliff overlooking the St Lawrence, these are very nice cottages. Plenty of open space, easy to find, great parking. The staff were superb and we could not have asked for better. Mid-range quality at budget rates.

Such an outstanding place, especially for the price. Very comfortable, well-maintained cabin units. The views of the river can't be beat (some units face directly onto the water, but even the others -- we were in one in the back -- have fine views). The firepits (some units have their own, others may have to use a communal one -- we had our own) are a nice plus. Staff couldn't be nicer -- they let us use a washing machine in the main house. Location is fairly convenient to town (though you'll need a car). If we're back in area, we wouldn't think twice about returning.

We only got to stay for two days and wish it could have been longer. We stayed in "Le Champêtre" and it was just perfect. Everything we needed was in the cabin including fully furnished kitchen and all amenities including a full wood box for an evening fire in the wood stove. Thank you very much for such an enjoyable stay.

Now that the local family aged and mostly moved to retirement homes, when visiting the area we needed a place stay, relax, bring our pets and also enjoy important family time.
This JEWEL offers all of it, from 13 fully furnished facilities that include separate bedroom, premium washrooms, well furnished living areas and fully equipped kitchens. They also accept our pets in 4 of the units and have an amazing property for walks with view of the seaway that is simply breathtaking. If you're lucky, you might see whales right off your porch while having your morning coffee.
So whether you like to bring your food from the local grocery stores, wine from one of the best SAQ in the province, relax with a fire in the stove with background music or visit any of the multiple close excellent restaurants, you are sure to find something to please and most important not be confined to a hotel room! In addition, the staff and owners will ensure that your stay is nothing but pleasant and soothing. They are very well informed of the area activities year round and will help guide you during your stay.
It is without hesitation that I would recommend this establishment.

Pick the newest cottage, they have a better view but oldest are comfortable as well.
The view is awesome even from inside the cottages.
The walk to the beach is steep but is a good exercise and really worth doing it. I like the wood stove inside and the fire pit outside.

My husband and I rented the Chalet Astral for 5 superb days this July. I am surprised the place is listed as a hotel on trip advisor. It should be a holiday rental. The location is probably the best in the region because there is a terrific view of the town of La Malbaie as well as the St-Laurence. The chalets are fully equipped and roomy for two people. I was impressed by the cleanliness. Staff was very welcoming and helpful. The neighbors were quietly respectful and it was a perfect getaway to relax and breathe the fresh air. BBQ's are available. It is a great location to explore this beautiful part of Québec. Advice - reserve early as the chalets are quickly booked. The photos of the chalets on the Domaine Frais Air website are truely representative of the location. We will definetly return to the region and choose to stay at Domaine Frais Air.

Domaine Frais Air is the place where every quietness lover will look for experiment. Stunning view on the St Lawrence river, charming cottages (we got the #3, great value !), nice welcome, they can lend you "fondue service", a trail by the cliff to get to the shore and explore the beach (long magnificent walk is possible at low tide), well, a place that is definitely recommended !
