I went to La Malbaie for a snowmobile trip. Trail #378 is 500 meters from the hotel. If you are lucky and there is snow, you may be able to go through the backyard of the car dealership located next door to access the trail... otherwise you will be stuck driving on the asphalt road.
I booked my first night online. Shortly after, a young woman called me to ask what time I would arrive. She explained to me that the reception closed at 8:00 p.m. She told me she was going to leave the key in my room door and my bill would be on my bed. I asked her if there was anyone to contact if there was a problem with the room and she replied ''no''. She explained to me that her boss was out of town and unfortunately she finished at 8:00 p.m. I found it quite ordinary.
The hotel appears to have been recently renovated as everything was new from the outside to the inside. I rented for two nights and got two rooms with a Queen bed. I felt like I was the first to use them. They are spacious and clean. They are equipped with a large TV (with streaming service), a small fridge and a coffee maker. The bathroom room was clean and spacious. The beds were comfortable and had different types of pillows.
The negative side of this hotel is the soundproofing. I could hear the TV from the other room and the people in it. I don't know why, but I heard big bangs in the walls around 3:00-4:00 a.m. in both rooms. Is it something working in the walls? By this time, everyone was asleep and the hotel was practically empty so I don't believe it was someone banging on the wall to tell the next room to turn down the volume.
**I explained the noise issue to the girl at reception when I booked my 2nd night. I explained to him that I didn't sleep well because of that. She put me on the 2nd floor this time instead of the 1st floor. She unfortunately put me above the noisy couple from the day before. I heard them until midnight - 01:00. I advise you to ask to be separated from the other rooms if you want to sleep well. Like I said, the hotel was empty. The girl at the reception could have distanced the customers to allow us to sleep well.
I paid $99 + tax for each room. For the value for money, the proximity to the trail and the last minute booking, it was worth it.

We went with a group of strikers to the Montreal casino and I am convinced that my colleagues who return to the area will return there!
