We stayed in room 209 which was recently renovated by new owners who were very friendly. The room was bright, clean and spacious with a balcony overlooking the St. Lawrence. Close to Metro grocery store and restaurants. Great place to stay and visit this beautiful area. We visited Tadoussac and watched whales from Cap de Bon Desir, a beautiful National Park and cycled the island of Isle aux Coudres. We would definitely stay here again.
Even though I have stayed here now three times I am dissapointed. It is one of the few here that overlook the water. I called three days early (I never do that) and was ok with the $125. That is what I"ve paid for a regular room before here but always had a downstaris room where I could sit outside or balcony. This time eventhough I called early no mention made and after 6 hours of driving and exhausted looking forward to hotel ended up with a room that smelled very strongly of perfume and a tiny tv, small tub with no plug, had to go downstairs to get one and no balcony. If I wanted no access to outside would have booked something cheaper. I'm very dissapointed. Will be my last stay. They don't seem to care at all and don't care to do anything about anything. Just shug. Very dissapointing. Will look for new place even with no view and cheaper. Rooms are very average but acess to looking outside over the water was a plus. Without that room is worth $80 at best. Oh and they charge $5 for continental breakfast.…
very nice motel with great views of the St Lawrence River. Clean rooms, free wifi. Restaurants close by. The couple running it were very nice.I would stay here again! Great location to go out for day trips to ride some great roads(This was a Motorcycle trip).
Very clean and nice room, beautiful view and courteous staff!! I would highly recommend this place for your next overnight stop. Gregory really knows what customer service is all about. I would stay again the next time we are in La Malbaie.
We were passing through La Malbaie and noticed this motel was very reasonably priced. We were actually a little leary with the low price and have never stayed at a motel before, but we found the room was better than some of the hotels we've stayed at and was very clean and comfortable. The waterfront view was exactly as we saw in the pictures, and I believe each room has the same view. The only thing that could have been better was the wifi - we found it a little slow.
We needed last minute accommodations for a quick ski trip to Charlevoix. Found a great price on this motel and we were not disappointed. Well situated in La Malbaie. All rooms look onto the bay. Recent ceramic and wood flooring - no ratty carpets that I could see. Clean comfortable beds, and quiet enough considering right off the main road (route 362) in town. Nothing fancy, but we were only looking for a clean, quiet, comfortable & economical night of sleep after a day on the slopes. This fit the bill perfectly. Good TV, WiFi, heat, shower and mini fridge. All the basics. I definitely recommend this motel.
I enjoyed my one night stay. Arrived late afternoon to relax and enjoy the awesome view of the bay. Place is very clean and bed comfortable. I would recommend to everyone who is traveling in the area.
Please note: This review is from the perspective touring by snowmobile which may have different priorities than visiting for your purposes. The rooms were clean and decent with a nice view of the bay. Doors to the parking lot only, no hallway. There is no restaurant and everything is inconvenient to get to if you arrive by sled especially if it's -25C out and you're walking. Actually arriving by sled was somewhat difficult now that I think about it. There was a "tres" lame continental breakfast that they charged us and extra $3 for. I didn't think any of it was a good value by any stretch of the imagination. The staff was pleasant though. There is a gas station and convenience store across which is the only slightly redeeming aspect of the whole thing. I would NOT recommend this place for touring by sled.…
I'm not sure why anyone would give this place "5 stars" because it is not extraordinary in any way, but if you're just looking for a motel (especially for a family with 2 queen size beds) this motel is quite decent. It's modern, comfortable and clean. There is a view of the river from the rooms, and we did not find the traffic noise to be bothersome. I would consider the property to offer solid 3-star comfort.
Stayed 2 nights. Place was very clean, cleanest out of all the hotels on my trip. Got a top level room with a great view. Room was spacious and comfortable! Room was beautifully done. Price was amazing, just under $100 per night for 4 people! Highly recommend.
