The Inn-Motel Castel de la Mer is an Inn where we stop one or more nights when we decide to sleep in La Malbaie. With each visit, we choose a Superior Studio except in 2019, with a king bed and mini-kitchen in a unit located on the ground floor. A table, two armchairs and a large desk complete the studio.
What we appreciate about this property is the omnipresence of cleanliness of the room and the entire resort and the tranquility of the site. In addition, every time we visit there are always additions. When we were there in mid-June, the establishment was finalizing the installation in the backyard of 2 new very modern cottages. I imagine these must be available at the time of writing.
The +: we can walk to several restaurants located near the Pension as well as to the Museum of Charlevoix, the Jetty, the Manoir Richelieu and the Casino.

After 7 days in Gaspesie, we were stopping here on our way home. Glad we chose this place. Lovely reception and very clean. The receptionist gave us restaurant and activities recommendations. The room we had with two queen bed had comfortable mattresses, was extremely clean and sufficiently furnished. The room also had a view of the bay and opened to a shared patio with dining tables and a propane firepit.

We stayed at Castel de la Mer for three nights in July 2023. We had a ground floor studio equipped with a mini kitchen and a king bed. A table, two armchairs and a desk completed the studio. The bathroom, for its part, was equipped with a bath-shower.
The +: cleanliness throughout the hotel complex and in the rooms, small refrigerator, luggage rack, laminate flooring as well as access to the Jardin du Castel which offers a rest area with B.B.Q. and the possibility of playing pétanque.
As the Castel de la Mer is located on Rue Richelieu, it is easy to access the Petit Parc de l'Abbé Paul located opposite the church to see one of the five projections of Cité Mémoire Charlevoix. The multimedia projection located there is entitled Les Muses de Charlevoix. Very nice duvet, warm, dinette area with bench seat, all the dishes with toaster oven, microwave, induction hob, the only thing missing is the food. Beautiful large bedroom, nice bathroom. Located right next to a street of restaurants, this hotel/motel was a pleasant surprise. Spacious rooms with 2 queen beds, fully stocked bathroom, excellent air condition and quiet rooms. Rooms are very clean.

2 nights spent with family (2 adults and 2 children) in a spacious room on the ground floor overlooking the river. The bedding is good. However, road traffic is heard and the view of the river is very limited. Reception staff attentive and smiling. It was easy to park inside the Pension.
