It was our second time at this camping. Last time we went with our RV. This year we decided to splurge on a water front cabin that they are renting. Thins quickly turned out to be a nightmare when we noticed that giant ants were crawling everywhere. After killing around 30 of them we went to the front desk and explained the situation. They admitted being aware of the issue.... unbelievable.

We were told that all cabins we occupied so they gave us the keys to their "family apartment" which is in fact an apartment in a house on the side of road 132... not a camping like experience and definitely no ocean front views, so this was a great disappointment.

We we asked for a rebate on our cabin rental (500$ ++) we were told that "these tings can happen and are totally normal in the woods! I must admit that I am profoundly disappointed by the lack of comprehension from the manager in regards to the fees charged. Having to still pay full price for a cabin infested by insects is unacceptable.

Camping is very nice but stay away from the cabins if you don't want insects crawling on you at night.

Now I am hoping I did not bring back carpenter ants in my own home...

Its rated 5 stars but actually i wouldn't give it more than 3. The beach is actually too dirty to go in the water, looooots of slopes which would be an advantage if the view wasnt blocked by all the trees. The bests campsites are seasonnal campers. Except for the 10 campsites you can get with an RV, you wont have a view other than trees. Beach not accessible for strollers and same thing for the sight seeing spot (interesting choice made by the owners as other seasonnal campsite would allow a great view and access but they are now for permanent campers). Bathroomsand showers are really clean, lots of activities to be offered.

Roads are super thight, you can't face another car if your campsite is down the hill. which makes akward situation.

The small city nearby is great!

If you choose that campsite for activities, its a good one. For the view, find something else except if you have a tent, the campsites have a great view but again a bad beach.

We were assigned a pull thru on the St. Lawrence level of the campground. We tried to stay an extra night but they were booked. This is a great campground for families. Lots of kids everywhere. There is an inflatable castle, a great pool, mini golf, shuffleboard, a snack truck and wonderful playgrounds. The laundry and bathrooms are updated and immaculate....even a private area for bathing baby. Our French is minimal but we made an effort to be friendly and we got a lot of smiles in return, with some conversation using hands and both languages. We enjoyed it. There are rude folks everywhere. Ignore them

We can't speak French very well, but try the best we can. Those who we have met who can't speak English very well, do the best they can. So some communication is achieved. This place was abysmal. They refused to speak any English and did not even try ( and they are in the hospitality industry?). They were not just rude and dismissive, they lied. They told us no sites were available so we would have to camp out by the baseball diamond without any services ( we have a 36' RV). Ok. Fair enough. But then they charged us the full rate. When we walked around the grounds later that evening, 7 suitable sites were vacant ( and they were still vacant the next morning). They did not provide us with a wifi password (a friendly fellow camper did). We thought perhaps the woman at check in was just having a bad day, but the one at check out was even worse. If you are not fully fluent in French, stay away. They do not want your business and will rip you off if they can.

They have nice chalets to rent, this is a fact BUT you cannot visit one before renting. The lady at the front desk said to my husband, "on ne parle pas anglais ici" : nice way to greet a customer, then we learned that we had to rent linen and that on monday, June 20 it was high season, so full price BUT Wi-Fi was not yet available and the swimming pool was empty Bad, bad, bad all the way. Fortunately, when we checked out, the young man at the desk was smiling and polite.

Very friendly check in. We stayed one night in a tent. The tent sites are very small but are 30 feet from the St Lawrence! Fantastic bathroom facilities and very secure with security staff constantly touring around. This was the only campsite in the 7 we stayed at that made you pay for wifi.

Superb beautiful campsite to discover. We booked a refuge there along the river with a breathtaking view of the river both in the evening and when we got up in the morning. Superb place to relax and take a break from everyday life.

Some small downsides for the shelters:

Plan your bedding
Bring curtains for more privacy.
Bring a fan to keep you cooler during hot periods.
Otherwise everything is perfect and safe with strict fire and security barrier at the entrance to the campsite.

Beautiful site on the waterfront. Beautiful sunsets.
The showers were clean.
The welcome and customer are very friendly.
It is certainly one of the most beautiful campgrounds in the
Quebec.
It was very nice, but the pool was closed!?

We rented a refuge (R4) for 2 nights with the family the refuge was near an observatory so quite passing during the day! The shelter contains no bathroom but we were still close to a toilet block. It has no heating either....the evenings in August start to be cooler. Greatness is ok for a family of 4 if it is nice ,,,if it rains it is a little too small for a family . Cleanliness was perfect! Facing the river is beautiful!! Next time we will book the cottage as there is a bathroom it is more convenient!

They stole $119.45 from us! The worst business management we've ever seen. We made a mistake in the dates of booking, wrote and called the campsite halfway within minutes of making the transaction to cancel and it was categorical refusal because of their "cancellation policy" which prevents cancellations 30 days before arrival. But it was a human error, selecting the wrong dates. Frankly no empathy... a profiteering manager hiding behind a cancellation policy to steal money without offering service. Be careful, especially never make a mistake with them, they will make you pay.
