Too expensive for what you get. Not very clean and the service was very bad. We 1st had a room with someone already in. We then got a new room but the keys were not working.
Don't take the breakfast, it's a cold egg with a piece of cheese and a muffin in a box.
I would not go back to this place, don't recommend for the price

Good motel located only a 15 minute walk from the St. Lawrence river.
Reception staff were friendly and informative. Motel room was clean with a comfy bed. Car parking close to the front window. Good waterfront restaurants and bars were only a short walk away. Good full breakfast at a reasonable cost was available across the street from the hotel.

Stayed 1 night on Sept 26.
The receptionist was very rude and abrupt.
It was late and we were too tired to look for another place to stay.
The room was fairly clean but rather dated.
The employees at this motel are rude.
The room was overpriced.

Just about the worst reception you could get.....so bad we walked.

As I entered I saw a visually unattractive (because of her facial and hair adornments) young woman with three odd looking guys slouched in chairs, shoes off and feet on tables. They did not look friendly. I went to the desk and lo and behold the highly decorated young woman at the table with the "lads" was the "receptionist". No hello, welcome and may I help you....nothing!

Me; Have you a room for tonight?

Yes....$100

But your sign says from $60.

They're all gone.

Why say $60 and now say nearly double ( I am now narky). Hotel & Cie right next door is nearly the same rate and with breakfast.

Then go there.

So...thankfully....we did!! And had a great night!

Absolutely dreadful woman to have on reception.....sort her before you lose more business.

Great place to stay for cheap (65$ CDN/night), near the Chic-Chocs Nat. Park (30 min by car), got grocery, drug store, restaurant nearby!!

Room is big for the price, with a small refrigerator and 2 double beds!

For a solo traveller it is nice to find a motel that has smaller rooms and priced accordingly. For $60. (+taxes) I got a room that was clean, blankets that did not have cigarette burns, a shower that had a good-sized soap bar and decent towels. It is a standard motel that provides standard service. The receptionist was a little on the curt side but not offensive. The breakfast was actually quite satisfying. TV was small with just one English channel - but look where you are. I would recommend this motel to anybody who is not overly fussy. As always when travelling in a region that uses a different language, making an attempt to speak the language is appreciated. I learned a couple of phrases and when I didn't know a word I asked for help. That works too.

Tried to call a guest staying at this hotel. First call, tried to ask for the room in English they hung up. Second call, tried to ask for the room in French, they said one moment in English then hung up on me. Third call tried to ask again in French and they hung up on me. Thank god it's not an emergency!

The lucky element for the hotel owners : they are the only hotel left in Ste-Anne-des-Monts that is open all-year round (except of course the Gite du Mt Albert, which is in the steeper price range) - hence, they can charge you any price, as long as it's lower than Gite du Mt Albert.

The unfortunate reality for guests: you pay - even in low season - a rate that is way above the quality you are getting for it. We paid 120 $ in February for a night, no breakfast included, to find ourselves in a room that is very, very dated and should at maximum get 2 stars (hence a room that you would expect to pay 75 $ a night at that time of the year). It’s a shame that the official rating for this hotel is still 3 stars and that there are no competitors around, now the Hotel Monaco is closed….

We had not prebooked on our drive around the Gaspe (middle of September) and were tired by the time we got to Sainte Anne-des-Monts. Saw the name of this motel in the tourist guide and decided to stay there. Nobody at the reception, just one guy watching TV in the adjoining bar area, did not seem very interested in helping us, but we did check in , paid with credit card after looking at the room (we should have stopped right there, it was dark, terribly dated, depressing). However, we were tired, he said the wifi should work, well it did not. It was important for us to stay in touch that day, so we decided to check right back out (had not unpacked or anything). Again he did not care, took a while to get the credit on the card, but it worked and we left. I see now that other reviews were not complimentary either, goes to show you how helpful it is to check on T.A. beforehand...
