Excellent, had a noisy ish neighbour upstairs for about 10 minutes and the hallway sounds like people are at your door sometimes instead of down the hall and the hot tub was down due to a whole town power outage earlier that day, but I was more than happy with the service, staff, hotel itself, very clean, nice, and I...

My husband and I have spent a lot of time at canalta and Lena goes above and beyond the call of duty she is always professional and courteous no matter what the situation is. This place is clearly not what one would expect when working in the Northern areas of Canada. You expect some kind of Inn or Motel at best, instead you get 5-star staff and a quality of stay that makes me want to have the excuse to come up North more often! The people here go even beyond what I'd expect...

Staff were very friendly and helpful, it was decorated for Halloween. Breakfast area is just off lobby and very open, a good place to sit with a hot drink morning or evening. Room was quiet, clean and comfortable. Front desk clerk said they are planning to have weekend family events. Would be a good place to go for a family...

This is the third time I have stayed at the Canalta in Melfort in 2 months. I often come here for business. I feel that warm welcome the moment the phone is picked up when booking my stay. They are extended family and makes the stay away from home in AB and my family a little bit easier. Sheri is...

I love staying at Canalta hotels, they are great in every location. Melfort is no exception. I've stayed here multiple times over the past 1-2 years. Rooms are always large and clean. Sometimes they even include bottled water in the mini fridge. Beds and comfortable and hotel is always quiet. The last room I stayed in had a Keurig, which...

We used this hotel for a weekend visit to Melfort. Located on the Highway 6 strip south of the town centre, the hotel is adjacent to Tim Horton's and Boston Pizza. Canadian Tire is a few hundred meters away and the very nice golf course is right across the highway. There is plenty of parking. Parts of the hotel are...

This was our first experience with the Canalta Hotel chain. As we drove from Red Deer to Melfort, we seemed to pass a Canalta in every small town in Alberta and Saskatchewan. I found it very unusual to be asked to pay for my room upon checking in. We have stayed in many hotels across North America and Europe and...

Simply put, this hotel is a great choice! It offers full business amenities, the rooms are clean and well-appointed; the complementary breakfast is really nice and I particularly enjoy the free cookies and popcorn! Definitely will stay again.

I've stayed at many Canaltas throughout the province and even this Melfort Canalta before. My visits have always been great. This time not so much. First off, for the 4 days I stayed, the hot tub and the vending machines on all floors were not working due to maintenance. The side door of the building also didn't work. Also disappointing,...
