This spa is wonderful for family, friends traveling together, or individuals traveling alone. The focus is on fresh air, good exercise outside and inside, spa amenities, and healthy mostly vegetarian food for the weight conscious or those who want to eat deliciously and healthfully. The accommodations are tastefully beautiful, clean, and extremely comfortable. There are several pools and areas to...

This was my first visit to rancho la puerta. Four of us went to experience the wellness center after we had heard do much about it from others. The connection at the San diego airport to the bus was easy. Our packet was waiting for us along with the friendly greeter. The drive to rancho la Puerta was also easy...

Beautiful location, buildings and grounds. There are a large number of guests that have been going to the the Ranch for years. Food is healthy, fresh, organic and plentiful. Nice wine bar with good Mexican wines. Excellent selection of hikes, classes and activities. Wonderful cooking classes! Highly recommend!

I am writing from the Ranch and it is completely full. It is full because when people come here once it is rare that they do not come again-- a lot. Why? First it is beautiful. The mountain hikes are panoramic, the staff is exceptional, the array of work out choices is unparalleled, the food is plentiful and delicious and...

If you like to hike and exercise in an idyllic space this may be for you. Not as fancy as the other spas around, Rancho la Puerta is a much better value for your money. Mostly vegetarian, the food is tasty with everything organic and grown locally. Staff are lovely and appear to enjoy working at the Ranch. Many guests...

Waking up to a briskly burning fire in the fireplace, and then having breakfast delivered to your very own villa - magical - and a great daily ritual. Each day is filled with classes to suit anyone from Yoga to Tennis to Zumba and even African Dance. You name it - they have it. Even aerobic drumming, which went by...

I went to this wellness spa with expectations of a week of eating right, exercising, meditating and general overall wellness. What I did not expect was that I would have so much fun that I did not want to leave. This is more than a retreat - it is a magical place to regroup, contemplate, reconsider and on top of...

Having just returned from my 10 (11?) trip to the ranch I'll admit that I am biased, but I was stunned by a review that I just read warning travelers not to come here as a place for rest, recovery and rejuvenation. I've read what this reviewer wrote 3 times and it is so far from the many many experiences...

My husband and I were fortunate to have two weeks at RLP. The property is at the base of an ancient Indian burial ground, it's beautiful and serene. One of the things I really liked about this spa is that it was up to ME to motivate myself to exercise AND determine what and how much I ate. Great training...

Loved returning from a vacation fitter and healthier. Food was excellent. I'm Trying to lose weight, but wellness is my new goal. RLP pointed me on the most effective path! My athlete teen kids and husband also loved the fitness. Every lecture I attended was great --our complaint as a family was that we wished for more time at The...
