After the noise, dust, traffic, and graffitti of Guadalajara, this was a great place to unwind. Clean and quiet, as was most of Ajijic. I felt safe drinking the water and eating in the restaurants of this little village. Even the stray dogs seemed to be friendly....as well as the horse we encountered one night wandering the streets by himself....

We just stayed here while attending the Féria in Lake Chapala. It has a Moroccan flavor with pictures of Bogart from the famed movie. The staff is very nice and the continental breakfast very adequate. The rooms are clean. We were surprised how quiet it was. No car traffic, roosters and few barking dogs. My only negative is the upper...

This is a small 8 room hotel with lots of character in the heart of the Ajijic village. Walking distance to the lake and beautiful malecon, the Ajijic plaza and all the shops, galleries, bars and restaurants. Also walking distance to the weekly Wednesday markets. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The service was first rate and always helpful....

We just returned from a wonderful weeklong trip to Ajijic. Hotel Casa Blanca was perfect for us. The location in the heart of the village is perfect. But the best part of it is the staff. Meredith saw to our every need, making my spa appointment and calling the right cab for us. When asked, she had great advice on...

It is rare that I use the word outstanding. But this place was one of my best hotel experiences in over 30 years of vacations in Mexico. To begin, I made an error in my reservation. The owner went through some effort to find another room, which turned out better than my original plan. Also he recommended great restaurants with...

A great stay. Good staff and clean rooms. Location is perfect! Across the street from Lake Chapala Society which is a community center. Short walk(1-2 mins) to lake. Prepare to eat well at local restaurants. Many different types of food besides Mexican. Meals are 1/2 price or less than in the states.

We stayed here because, thankfully, Hotel del Lago abruptly closed and cancelled our reservation there two days before our arrival. All things happen for a reason because I can't imagine a better hotel in Ajijic than Casa Blanca. Owners Matt and Pam have created the perfect setting. Quiet, right in the heart of Ajijic. We loved this little town so...

Moving is a BIG hassle. I recently did so (again!) and the only bright spot was that it gave me an excuse to return to Hotel Casa Blanca. My third stay there and I am amazed that the quality never flags. In fact, it seems to get even better with every visit. Matt, Jesus, Juan, Meredith - they are ALL...

Having stayed here for almost a month from March 12 to April 8, I am in a very good position to reflect on this property in scenic, charming and quixotic Ajijic on Lake Chapala. The staff is uniformly wonderful, headed up by the uber-efficient and professional Merideth, a fully bi-lingual American, married to a Mexican gentleman and raising her family...
