We recently stayed in the Gran Sala suite and it was amazing. We travel a lot in Mexico and are constantly looking for rooms with both traditional Mexican charm and comfort. Stepping into this suite was as if we were guests in a beautifully furnished Mexican home. The staff

We spent 3 nights in the Rose Room and enjoyed everything about La Casa Encantada. Although it's described as a B&B, I would be inclined to describe it more as a small (and very lovely) hotel. The staff were wonderfully helpful and we particularly enjoyed chatting with Luis

Everything about this place is magical. The hotel itself is decorated with beautiful Mexican art, the space is gorgeous and open, and the location is perfect: in the middle of everything, but tranquil once you've entered the gates. I have every intention of returning again and

I have read the other reviews and agree wholeheartedly with all their positive comments. We purposely picked a rare "off-week". There were four of us. My husband and I had the Colonial Suite. It was beautiful, immaculate, and spacious. It had three different ways to take

We stayed for two nights in the Grand Sala Suite. We thought it was a great value for the amount of space and ambiance the suite provided. The property is idyllic and very nicely done. We wandered around looking into the open rooms and they were all very nice. The staff is

Do you have parking for automobiles
I was there during street work so the area in front of the hotel was blocked off. They have an arrangement with a private indoor parking lot down the street if you feel better having it off the street. Normally, parking in front of the hotel is a good option.

Yes, Please book through the website. I am about to arrange booking through both Tripadvisor and Expedia to make bookings easier. But we love giving personal service through the website. Victoria

Hi I do have availability for your dates. Dec 12th is the Feast Day of the Virgen of Guadalupe! Patzcuaro is always a great place to come visit. My prices run $57 for the "Nest" to $90 for a room with a kitchenette or a 2 room suite. The rooms with fireplaces run $85. This price includes WiFi, a full Traditional Mexican breakfast of fruit, juice, Pan Dulce, eggs, beans & potatoes. I would highly recommend a tour on your first day with Jaime of Animecha Tours... you can google him. And also I would recommend a massage by Ulises. He is amazing and his prices cannot be beat $23 for an hour to $41 for 3 hours. I am giving the prices in dollars only so it is easier to understand. I prefer Peso equivalent, but also accept Dollars. Your concern about safety is because of the press. Driving from the coast is easy. The highway (toll road) is fast and I have not heard of problems. People drive it every day. The bus is also easy. One leaves in the morning and arrives in Uruapan around 11 Am and we can send a taxi for you. It is another 40 minutes to Patzcuaro. Finally I can send a taxi to Ixtapa for about $250 US door to door. Please got to my web page so you can see the rooms and we can move to a reservation. THANKS for you interest, Victoria Ryan

"The rooms vary in size and not all are available. EARLY reservations needed. We booked Christmas before we left in March."
"They have pictures of all of their rooms on their web site. All rooms are different."
"Perhaps choose a room not on the street, although we found our room (on the street) to be moslty quiet."
"Our rooms were inside the court yard. We looked at other rooms near the street, they were bigger then we needed."
