A beautiful B&B in charming Valle de Bravo. The colorful courtyard is flourishing with plants and staff is courteous. I love their toiletries (artisanal soaps etc.) and the room is well-equipped. On a nice day, there is a rooftop patio to relax. They offer a variety of spa treatments. The in-house restaurant has a solid menu and the food is... More

if you ever been on a thematic lodge, this place is for you. originally decorated with real Mexican stuff and style, will transport you to the time when the place was really a past century hostal. nice touches like cucumber fresh water and a complete breakfast it's a winner. be careful when parking on the across the street squeezing lot.

my son and I stayed in the room showed in the picture above. The room had absolutely everything you could ever need. Every detail is so thoughtfull and added with so much care. From the clothes line in the shower, to the scale and the gentle night light under the night table. We love the patio and the vegetation. I... More

I only needed a stop over place for one night and wish I had more time. The garden is a paradise. The rooms are very unique and comfortable. It does not feel like you are in a hotel. The food is very good and fresh and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. Even though I was not there enough... More

This meson is comfortable and the staff very nice and friendly. Pros: the rooms are comfortable and the staff very ready to help you be comfortable, breakfast is included. Cons: the breakfast coffee was most of the time cold, and the beans too. Their internet speed is bad.

Everything was fabulous, from the great staff to the room, the breakfast, and the gorgeous setting.. Good location...only minutes to the locals, and a few more to the lake. The staff was always very helpful and kind. Highly recommended.

I've been there for a weekend. The Checkin is at 3pm, however, I've noticed that I could arrive 10-11 AM. When I showed up, the front desk person suggested me to come back later, since my room was for 3pm... I noted the hotel was almost empty, so I concluded that my asking was ignored. For an overpriced hotel, we... More

Although the hotel is right downtown, which is a big positive, it was not hard to get to by car. The hotel is a 15 min walk from the waterfront and up the street are great restaurants and bars. The staff here are fantastic - so friendly and helpful; always a smile and a hello as well as a random... More

Just spent four nights here. We found the place itself to be very nice and the staff friendly. Unfortunately, we were in a terrible room on the ground floor. It was very dark and had a mildew smell. Had to burn incense to cover teh smell up. We tried to get a better room on second floor but their only... More

Super unique decor with twin beds in loft above main room. The kids loved that! Charming with all the amenities that you could want- in room safe, coffee pot, fridge and even a wood burning stove for those cold nights. Staff was very helpful. I highly recommend!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
'Meson de Leyendas' meaning 'House of Legends' is a well-established, 3 Star hotel located in the centre of Valle de Bravo. We are a popular family run establishment just 400 metres distance from the main square. The hotel building was formerly a nun's convent dating back to the 17th Century that has been expertly converted into a truly authentic Mexican rustic style hotel. The original colonial architecture and features have been carefully maintained and restored to create character and warmth throughout the two buildings. Guests will appreciate the 10 comfortable, individually designed, rustic style rooms, each with an ensuite bathroom. The grounds that separate the 2 buildings feature a well designed lush green garden filled with a variety of trees, bamboos, birds of paradise, bougainvillea and other exotic tropical plants. ... more   less
