Although the hotel is right downtown, which is a big positive, it was not hard to get to by car. The hotel is a 15 min walk from the waterfront and up the street are great restaurants and bars. The staff here are fantastic - so friendly and helpful; always a smile and a hello as well as a random...

Just spent four nights here. We found the place itself to be very nice and the staff friendly. Unfortunately, we were in a terrible room on the ground floor. It was very dark and had a mildew smell. Had to burn incense to cover teh smell up. We tried to get a better room on second floor but their only...

Super unique decor with twin beds in loft above main room. The kids loved that! Charming with all the amenities that you could want- in room safe, coffee pot, fridge and even a wood burning stove for those cold nights. Staff was very helpful. I highly recommend!

We like a smaller place to stay with character, and Meson de Layendas fit our preferences. Both the common areas and the rooms used local crafts and arts to good effect, and the interior courtyard was delightful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located on the corner of two small but busy streets, so expect some...

Very cute hotel; friendly and helpful staff; great location; very good breakfast options. We had a great stay here and will stay here again the next time we're in town. The beds were comfortable and heavenly after a day of walking the hills of Valle de Bravo and sight seeing. The organic chocolate toiletries were a fun touch. Their parking...

Meson de Leyendas is a very comfortable and friendly bed & breakfast in Valle de Bravo, Mexico. Beautiful, clean accommodations in a convenient location, a short walk to the town square. Great breakfast buffet. Stayed for a week in each of the last 6 Januarys, and they keep adding amenities: now including more rooms, a nice bar with pool table...

We are from Seattle, WA and we just loved this hotel. It is very quaint and within walking distance to the town center. Mesons De Leyendas is always our choice when we are in Valle de Bravo for the clean rooms, massages, full breakfast and excellent staff. My wife and daughter felt completely comfortable and relaxed after our stay. Antonio...

Everything in this little place is amazing. The large rooms with lofts, chimneys and all of the amenities are just perfect. Our favorite... Buffet breakfast, everything you would have in a large hotel, with that homemade flavor and attention to every small detail. We will definitely be back very soon, want to enjoy all of the other rooms!

Summary- Not worth the price for what you get. We can do better if I had time to research ahead of time. During my research few days before New Year Eve, this hotel offered $1482 peso for 2 with wine offer. Since we have disabled relative travelling with us, I asked my in-law to call and inquire if they have...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
'Meson de Leyendas' meaning 'House of Legends' is a well-established, 3 Star hotel located in the centre of Valle de Bravo. We are a popular family run establishment just 400 metres distance from the main square. The hotel building was formerly a nun's convent dating back to the 17th Century that has been expertly converted into a truly authentic Mexican rustic style hotel. The original colonial architecture and features have been carefully maintained and restored to create character and warmth throughout the two buildings. Guests will appreciate the 10 comfortable, individually designed, rustic style rooms, each with an ensuite bathroom. The grounds that separate the 2 buildings feature a well designed lush green garden filled with a variety of trees, bamboos, birds of paradise, bougainvillea and other exotic tropical plants. ... more   less
