Choosing this Hotel/location was a bit of a leap in the dark. I do not think I would especially recommend it, unless you are touring around or wanting to see the Monarch butterflies (Dec-March). The cabins were very nice with a veranda but a bit dark and could be quite a slog to get to up via some steep steps.... More

This is one of the most ridiculous hotel experiences I have had. First, the lobby where the cafe and restaurant is was freeeeeezing. We had dinner --very average-- with our coats on. The place did not feel cosy at all. Second, the waiters were nice but untrained; we had to ask for everything: a spoon, a fork, sugar for coffee.... More

Getting there -- We considered renting a car for the 2 hour drive from Mexico City, but due to uncertainty about the road conditions and timing a return to the airport, we had Rodavento book a van for our family of 4 with at $180 US each way. It turned out that the drive to Rodavento was nearly all on... More

Unfortunately I stayed there just one night. This hotel is in the middle of the forest, and is made of well built bungalows. Rooms are large and comfortable (some have 4 beds.) Food at the restaurant is delicious and you can practice several sports like running, zip lines, kayak, etc. I didn't like the service, though. The waiters at the... More

Jack: Thank you so much for your comments , the good ones and the ones that help us improve. We had new staff at the time of your visit but this does not justify bad service, believe me we have been working hard on this area. Thanks again Adriana Rivera Hoteles Rodavento CEO More

Although my stay at Rodavento was not long enough as wished it was definitely worth it. I enjoyed one night stay at this small but very accommodating hotel in June 2015. I found this hotel by looking on trip advisor, some of the reviews were not too positive and most of it was related to pricing, I was afraid that... More

If you're going to Valle de Bravo I recommend you the hotel Rodavento. The activities are kayak, bow and arrow, rappel and zipline. The food is the same as in Mexico and its good. Also bring bug spray and sunblock.

I spent 4 days in this romantic hotel. It is beautiful, peaceful, in the middle of the forest, with a small lake. The rooms are cabins equipped with all commodities (no TV in the room) beautiful places to walk and do several sports, but my husband and I spent the time walking, talking, relaxing. The best part is the personal... More

Rodavento site is really marvellous , the wood, the small lake ( rather a pond ) the swimming pool, the roofs which look like white sailing boats among the trees.. superb... Unfortunately the rooms were designed by an artist with little consideration for practicity and logic: -a large half-empty bathroom with a lot of free space available , but still... More

Thank you for your comments. They are all very helpful. I just want to clarify that the runnning circuit charge is only for visitors, not for guests. The bike does have a charge because it is not a circuit within the property but a route in the mountains in Valle de Bravo which require transportation as well as a guide... More
