I have traveled around the world for years, and have found the Concept of "bed and breakfeast" the most satisfying for my travel accomodations. You have the atmosphere of a home and the peace and tranquility, impossible to find at large all inclusive resorts, yet keeping the quality and service to the highest standard of a 5 star hotel. So...

The further I get from our trip to Casa Valentina, the more I miss it. I wish it was a place close enough to visit on a long weekend, but alas it is several thousand miles (and more importantly several hundred dollars) away! My husband and I visited were fortunate enough to stay with Gerardo and Valentina for 5 nights....

The service provided was courteous and friendly. We had breakfast served to us every morning and it was exceptional. The rooms were immaculate, spacious and with beautiful views to the garden, it is quite impressive when you see it and showcases the natural beauty of the property. Casa Valentina is the perfect get away for everyone. Overall this was a...

We stayed in Casa Valentina for a week with our 3 children. It was quiet and peaceful, just the kind of place you want after a long day visiting the Mayan ruins. We really enjoyed the place. Gerardo showed us round the garden on the first day. We saw beautiful birds and the "tejon" came for a visit! It was...

Hard to add anything more to all the great reviews but this place was really a lucky find! My wife and I spent 3 days with Gerardo and Valentina and felt so at home that we didn't want to leave. They are the most charming couple and have created an architectural and floral masterpiece. As truly amazing and inspiring as...

This is definitely the place to go if you are looking for a unique Yucatan experience. Casa Valentina is perfectly located to all the places you'll want to visit (Coba, Tulum, Akumal, Xel-Ha, Playa del Carmen), yet off the beaten path of tourists. Valentina and Gerardo, the proprietors, are very knowledgeable about the area and made many wonderful recommendations of...

First of all, the property itself was amazing. Down to the smallest details, the house was an absolute feat of design--somewhere between a zen garden and the Mayan palapa-style houses. If you get the chance, ask about Julio's machete skills and some of the ancient/mythic Mayan techniques he uses. The property even had a meandering garden jungle walkway throughout (though...

I travelled around the world visiting a lot of different places, countries and when I arrived here I was really tired. Casa Valentina surprised me for its quietnes: it' s a very relaxing place. I stayed there for 10 days visiting archeologic sites (Coba, Chichen Itza, Tulum), going to the nicest beaches (akumal, xpu-ha, tulum, yalku bay and enjoying Casa...

Wonderful location, between Tulum and Playa, nice the architecture of house and rooms. You must adapt yourself to the nature, it's full of insects but "mosquitos" can't enter in your room. The italian food is great, but you can also eat mexican food cookes by your guests. No problem with healthy, everything is cooked with pure water. Only two suggestions:...

We recently returned from 4 nights stay. Valentina and Gerardo have created a beautiful, comfortable guest house, surrounded by gardens, about 5 minutes from Akumal. The tropical gardens and surrounding jungle provide habitat for a large variety of birds & iguanas and all sorts of fauna - lots of fun to head out early in the morning or around sundown...

“the back king suite is great!”
 of 5 bubbles STLL7, 21 Feb 2012 | Read review
“If you're going to stay here I think you're nuts but if you do, there's only 3 rooms just make sure you get the back room, it has a front and rear patio that looked really nice, my room, the middle one had two plastic chairs on top of crushed rocks in the back, basically useless. The front room is gross and you have to walk in the hallway to get to the bathroom which in hindsight is a good thing I guess, it also doesn't have an A/C unit”
