Returned on 15th August 2012 following 2 weeks at Grand Sirenis. Our third time in Mexico (got married on the Pacific side which seems more authentic) Overall a very good holiday, but if you are looking for Mexican culture then this is not the hotel for you, as this is pure tourist culture. Very Americanised. The hotel could be anywhere...

Me and my boyfriend stayed in this holiday in July 2012 and had a great time....the staff couldnt do enough for you they were so friendly. Our room was amazing (although wasnt that impressed about the hole between the bedroom and bathroom) but it was definitely a 5star rating. We had little presents delivered to our room like bottles of...

Family holiday for this year took us to the Grand Sirenis Resort near to Akumal in the Riviera Maya in Mexico. The resort is set within the mangrove area about one and a half hours by coach from Cancun airport which initially caused us some debate but after you get started away from the Airport the time does go in...

Just back from another 2 week stay at this resort and i have to say it just gets better. Once again great service, great rooms, great setting, the list is endless. I think what this hotel gives more than any other along the Riviera Maya with Thomas Cook is value for money. I have to give a special mention to...

My experience in this hotel was bad...The holiday started with the room allocated to us still having the covers of the previous occupants...the staff were quick to address this issue though...Then we discovered the fridge was not working which took a while to get sorted...The shower cubicle and shower head were nothing short of disgusting with mould...it was so bad...

I can ditto most everything said by snowboarding1 except the room - the one the assigned was fine - King bed, jacuzzi tub, non-ocean view (I want to be on the beach/water, not look at it). Nor did we have elevator issues, but we did not use them, the buildings are only 3 floors. Spot on about the Europeans at...

Had a wonderful time- room was beautiful, food was great! Pool bar was very cool. Lots of activities to stay busy. Lazy river was a bonus! Beach was nice but a little busy- you have to play the towel game like any other resort.

I had read some mixed reviews of this hotel and I honestly don't know why people have disliked this resort. From when we first arrived to when we left, we were given first class service. Our room was fantastic with two double beds (however we joined the SPT (see separate review on this) and got an upgraded room with ocean...
