This hostel was a pleasure, free bikes, friendly well informed and polite staff and a good breakfast. I enjoyed my stay here and even prolonged it. There's a rooftop terrace large enough to practice yoga under the stars and two really well equipped kitchens that are kept spotlessly clean. Comfy beds, secure lockers, good showers, I would highly reccomend this...

It is a busy hostel next to the Candelaria church about 4 blocks from the bus station and 6 blocks from the plaza. The staff is mostly OK and helpful, some of them a bit too busy to really pay attention at you. It's reasonably priced, around $350 - $420 per night, a working Kitchenet, WiFi, bike rental and gardens....

We stayed in the hostel 2 nights in the dorm room. We had excellent welcome and great advice about the city and the place to eat tacos, the cenote, etc. The garden is really nice and peaceful.we rented two bikes and drove to the villages next to valladolid. Just for you to know, there's no air-conditioning but ventilators.

We had a great time at this hostel, made some great friends as the common area is great. Also, the breakfast was the best hostel breakfast that we've ever had and the cleanliness in general was superb. There were a couple of things which could be improved: the dorm room was very warm as there was no real airflow; the...

I was relaxing in my room when I overheard an uproarious joyful noise from the front room of the Hostel Candelaria. I assumed it was one of my husband's silly jokes that got folks going, but really it was too exuberant for that! Instead, just arrived, was the 2015 Trip Advisor award for this amazing Hostel. The proprietor, Pedro, couldn't...

I stayed in La Candelaria twice and both times it was a perfect hostel experience. The location is great. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The facilities are clean, they work and there are lots of them. The breakfast is large and tasty. There are pleasant outside areas.

A good budget hostel. Rooms are clean and comfortable, not too crowded. Good locker provision. The staff were lovely and really helpful with suggestions of what to do in the local area. The garden and outdoor kitchen are really nice places to relax and socialise. There are some really nice cenotes at Dzitnip and the hostel hire bikes and give...

This hostel perfectly shows why it's so much nicer to stay in a hostel than in a hotel. The atmosphere in this hostel located on a lovely square is amazing, there are plenty little spots where you can read a book or talk to your fellow travelers and the breakfast set up just makes you want to sit there all...
