Xcalak is quite remote, so amenities are on the light side. That said, Ben and Esther run a warm, welcoming B&B that was fun to visit. Wonderful breakfasts, a beautiful setting, and they provide plenty of local info. We'd be glad to return.

My friend and I stayed for 4 nights during Thanksgiving week at Ben & Esther's hideaway, situated within the boundaries of a National Park. The rooms (with kitchen area) are cheerful and very clean. Generous balconies with comfortable deck chairs on the 2nd floor look out onto the playa and ocean, as do the 2 downstairs rooms with patios. We...

We stayed at the Reef House, which is next door to Casa Paraiso, also managed by Ben and Esther. Our stay was terrific. Ben and Esther are amazing hosts who maintain both Casa Paraiso and Reef House beautifully. The house was very clean as are the grounds of both properties. There were five people in our group ranging from age...

There's a huge refrigerator in the rooms. The balconies have the most stunning view. What really made the trip though was Ben and Esther as...

My husband and I stayed here for 4 glorious nights! Ben and Esther could not have been more helpful from the minute we got there. Coming back from a day of diving to a freshly picked coconut while lounging on comfortable beach chairs staring at a gorgeous ocean could not be beat! The rooms were super comfortable with everything one...

My brother and I spent a week staying at Casa Paraiso. We loved our time at Casa Paraiso and found Ben and Esther to be superb hosts. The website really doesn't do this small resort justice. The rooms are very comfortable with everything we could have wanted. This includes a two-burner stove, full size refrigerator, french press, purified water, wifi,...
