My partner and I visited Casa Paraiso over Christmas and couldn't have expected a nicer stay! This truly is a little piece of paradise - the rooms, beach, amenities, breakfast, everything is truly great! Ben and Esther are excellent hosts - very knowledgeable and always willing to provide guidance on what to do, where to go. We're already planning our...

We love this little hotel, so far from the bawdiness up the coast! Everything in this paraíso is clean, quiet and beautiful. The beach is white and soft and we mostly shared it with pelicans. The water inside the reef is crystal clear and perfect for snorkeling. Ben, Ester, and Eduardo have a delightful way of leaving you in peace...

The only bad part about taking a vacation here is that you won't want to leave! Ben and Ester are so welcoming and knowledgeable. They, along with Eduardo, will not disappoint you with breakfast either. Rooms are comfortable. Despite not having air conditioning, we did not find the rooms warm (we did travel in January). Ben has done a wonderful...

We have visited Xcalak for 1 to 2 weeks a year since 2009, Always staying at Casa Paraiso (x Casa Carolina). It was a great place when owned by Bob and Caroline and it improved when Ben and Esther bought it about 2 years ago. Ben made a number of improvements in bug proofing the rooms and in getting dependable...

Photos don't quite capture how beautiful this place is... You keep driving wondering if it was worth it to head this far south in the Yucatan but as soon as you arrive, you know that you made the right decision. The rooms overlook a long wooden dock that invites you out into the water. The reef --about a mile off...

From the moment you arrive at Casa Paraiso, it was clear that the owners had put lots of love and care into this adorable BnB on the coast of Xcalak. They were warm and friendly and the rooms were recently updated with modern amenities. The entire place is extremely eco friendly and self sustaining. The breakfasts in the morning were...

Xcalak is quite remote, so amenities are on the light side. That said, Ben and Esther run a warm, welcoming B&B that was fun to visit. Wonderful breakfasts, a beautiful setting, and they provide plenty of local info. We'd be glad to return.

My friend and I stayed for 4 nights during Thanksgiving week at Ben & Esther's hideaway, situated within the boundaries of a National Park. The rooms (with kitchen area) are cheerful and very clean. Generous balconies with comfortable deck chairs on the 2nd floor look out onto the playa and ocean, as do the 2 downstairs rooms with patios. We...

We stayed at the Reef House, which is next door to Casa Paraiso, also managed by Ben and Esther. Our stay was terrific. Ben and Esther are amazing hosts who maintain both Casa Paraiso and Reef House beautifully. The house was very clean as are the grounds of both properties. There were five people in our group ranging from age...
