Serendipity!! Won this trip at a charity auction. Page could not have been more accommodating.. Two teenagers and two grandparents enjoyed some down time amid torrential rains and gusty winds! Coming back in summer! Got some game time in and ducked out to a movie! Location was good!

We wanted to have a yurt experience in Maine and found a rare opening for two nights (last minute). When we phoned, we were greetly by super friendly staff. Maine Forest Yurts are easy to find and located wonderfully in proximity to lovely sights! off the beaten path, it is remote. We stayed in Hemlock Ridge yurt. Each of the yurts is rather isolated and have their own areas. The owners are an amazing family. Down-to-earth and genuine people. Family business which has been lovingly cared for. The yurts are great and are something between a tent and a hotel - you have all the necessary amenities. Outhouse with pine needles to keep it fresh. Outdoor gravity shower - was great! Stove/oven, futon, table/chairs, games, sink, deck outside with table and chairs as well, firepit with adirondack chairs. Firewood onsite. Runabout pond provides a great opportunity to kayak, canoe - skip rocks, fish, enjoy nature! We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the yurt!!! This family cares about their guests - they are amazing - the yurt experience is not to be missed!!

This was our first yurt excursion and it definitely won't be our last! We stayed in the Fisher Ridge Yurt which is nestled in the beautiful, serene wooded property of Maine Forest Yurts. We arrived after dark on a Friday evening and were greeted by the owner who showed us around the yurt and explained the use of the wood stove. It was pretty cold outside but the inside of the yurt was super warm and inviting (they had the wood stove going prior to our arrival). We immediately felt right at home. The bunk beds and futon were super comfy, and we loved the sink in the 'kitchen' area so we could wash up even without running water. The outhouse wasn't bad at all ... only down side was it isn't heated and it does get a bit chilly in there early morning / late at night. Our dogs LOVED it here and we really appreciated that they allowed us to take our furkids along (and at no extra charge)! We left feeling rested and rejuvenated. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a unique 'camping' experience!

Love Maine Forest Yurts. We go every year and take our great nephew. We as adults love the peace and quiet and the nephew loves the fishing. He is at the pond all day. Now that he is older he is able to go off on his own. I love walking the trails. Cannot wait for July/Aug 2018 to be back again.

My parents and I had a great time visiting the Maine Forest Yurts in Durham, ME particularly because of the the big reviews from other people who have stayed there that my parents read about. Thus, we went there and stayed for a 3-day, 2-night trip (From July 26 through July 28) on the property itself. We stayed inside the Hemlock Ridge Yurt for that time. Also, what made this experience even better is that the property is also owned and operated by Survivor: Gabon winner Robert "Bob" Crowley and his family (We even got to meet Bob as well as his daughter Page too. Bob even told us that several other former Survivor contestants have stayed at the yurts too). Bob made the challenges of Survivor come to the yurts as well as he also created the big Durham Warriors Project. Thus, there is so much see and learn whenever you stay at the Maine Forest Yurts regardless of whether you are a big Survivor fan or not. Anyways, it was a great time camping there, and we will return back there again someday.

What a gem! Super quiet and relaxing stay in a yurt! The yurt was comfortable, spacious, and had everything we needed. The property has miles of trails and canoes/kayaks for use. Dogs are welcome. We'll be back!
