There's not only lots to do here (e.g., hiking, mountain biking,), but staying at the hotel showed what excellent customer service is all about. The front desk people were very helpful with ideas about what to do, where to go and sightseeing. Nothing was too much for them. The hotel also offers complimentary valet parking-very much appreciated!

Quiet place, great for hiking. Shopping is very limited. Gym is good. It seems to be ideal for small conventions. Solitude is about 40 minutes from Salt Lake City. The food in the hotel was great. There are more activities in the winter.

I read reviews on this place so I gave it a try. It was wonderful, quiet, beautiful views and large room. We ate at the restaurant next door, the Honetcomb Grill , and it was delicious. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We were here in the off season I'm sure during the ski season it isn't as peaceful.

Ok... it was the end of the season, but the stay was disappointing. We got in late, due to flight delay, and was very hard to find. People on phone were not overly helpful. Luckily we asked if there was any late dining as there is nothing open after 9:00 so at least we knew to stop in Salt Lake...

Arrived Thursday afternoon, just in time for a beer on the sun soaked patio and view of the ski area. This was a Snowbird and Alta two day ski vacation in the other canyon! Turns out the quiet and charm of the bigger canyon was worth the drive. Our only regret was not planning a longer stay so we could...

First time at Solitude and enjoyed peace and quiet, as name suggests, in beautiful setting. Pluses: -Best location in Solitude walking distance to lifts or ski-in ski-out with more snow -All of the staff was welcoming and very helpful -slope-facing 3rd floor double room was quite large -View of the mountains was wonderful. - good ski lockers in basement -...

The Inn at Solitude is right in the ski village and a short walk to the lifts. The inn is cozy but not crowded. Rooms and décor are a bit dated, but very functional. A locker room in the basement provides storage for ski's and equipment. Great breakfast option off the lobby. Wifi kept dropping and coverage for cell phones...

We stayed for 4 nights at this quiet hotel. I didn't LOVE it - was disappointed at check-in that we didn't have a couch in front of the tv like I had seen in an online photo, surely thinking that was our room, but Hannah said I must've been looking at a suite. After two mornings, Housekeeping neglected to restock...

I tagged along with my husband to Solitude. I got to know the Front Desk staff (and several other resort employees) very well. Mark was super patient and especially friendly and helpful during the day. My one minor critique (RESORT WIDE) centers staff who weren't as knowledgeable or trained in their respective jobs. There were half a dozen employees who...

We stayed here between the Christmas and New Year break at the end of 2014. Very disappointed with the quality of service and the room. The shower was lukewarm at best. Never did get a warm shower the entire time we stayed. Arranging ski rentals was a chore. First day, no boots my size and no poles for the kids....

“There is an elevator for second and third floors, but we like the first floor rooms. They have huge glass doors that open onto a patio with views of the mountain. The upstairs rooms have small balconies with the same views. Skis must be kept in the ski locker downstairs; then you walk up the stairs with your skis to the slopes. Kinda awkward, but your skis are safe in the locker.”
