Stayed for two nights in a single room at Villiers hotel. The room was clean and tidy with accessories such as ironing board, hairdryer and courtesy tray for refreshments. The bed was comfortable and I slept really well. The rooms are a little tired but I understand refurbishing planned. The only negatives would be the room was quite dark with...

I stayed at this hotel whilst visiting family. Was a little disappointed that there was no water in the room and few toiletries. Stay was spoilt by someone wheeling something across a cobblestone courtyard before 7 in the morning!! I wasn't asked if I enjoyed my stay which whilst the room was clean and the bed comfortable for a 4...

One night was not enough to really enjoy this hotel. The personal service was exceptional- when my husband's new shirt was missing a buttonhole the staff were so helpful and eventually provided us with a steak knife!! And we were going to a ball with fireworks outside so the staff lent us an umbrella. The full English was the freshest...

Overall the hotel is good but is in need of some maintenance from the thread bear carpet on the stairs to the stains on the window seat. In some places a new coat of paint could bring a huge benefit. The rooms are large and quiet however would benefit from some bottled water in the rooms most 4 star venues...

Dear Olympian1981 Thank you for writing your Review. The negative points you raise concerning the wear and tear of the building we are aware of and a refurbishment programme is in hand. I apologise that you had difficulty gaining access at around 22:45hrs; being a Town location for security reasons we are prompt at locking the doors, however, it is...

Myself and my wife have stayed hear several times over the past two years. Every time we stay we are always greeted with a smile a genuine pleased to see you. The rooms are very comfortable and have a small fridge in most of them which means you can have proper milk in the morning with tea. The rooms are...

Attended a works Christmas staff party at Villiers in their events room across the road from the hotel. It was a communal party along with other local companies. Each company had their own table. Food was pre ordered. Awful food and service. Never ever again

Dear Redcondios of Oxford Thank you for taking the time to write a Review of a recent Christmas party night you attended. We have received many compliments from others who attended the party nights over the past two weeks so was saddened to read that your personal experience was not similar to others. I am truly sorry that we appear...

An old fashioned hotel, comfortable and clean, but lacking in some of the little things that would have improved my stay. For example a bottle if water in the room, a box of tissues, a dressing gown. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well. Our dinner was good and the staff on duty were incredibly patient and professional...

We booked for a friend's wedding - they were getting married at the Old Town Hall. Such a good idea! We arrived, got ready, walked across the road to the Old Town Hall and spent the rest of the time there - enjoying really good food, plenty of drink and dancing all followed a lovely wedding ceremony. After it was...

We were given a gift voucher for dinner bed and breakfast at the hotel which we confirmed with them in July 2016. 4 days before the visit I was called to say the voucher may no longer be valid as the hotel recently had split from a gifting company. I would have hoped that if this split had only happened...

Jill M, Thank you for your subjective review following your recent visit. I am so sorry that you had a disturbed night’s sleep and your stay was less than perfect. The Fire Alarm was activated due to a guest bathroom having been flooded in the early hours of the morning, with water pouring through the ceiling, by a smoke detector,...

The hotel, is in a central location in Buckingham, friendly staff, large rooms, free secure parking and quite nice toiletries as well as a decent cooked breakfast are the good points. I stayed for two nights and the negatives could be fixed but I had no hot water on the first morning, the free internet did not work, hair in...
