Stayed at The Bell Hotel after a family wedding. Our room was apsolutely disgusting. Very outdated & in need of a full refurbishment. Bedroom curtain was hanging of the rail, carpet looked grubby. Cobwebs hanging from the ceiling! Bathroom tiled floor grouting was black & wearing thin, shower curtain was horrible & the bath & shower were so off putting...

Went for our wedding anniversary and booked the spa room. Tiny spa not big enough for two really and room was very dated. Needs a complete refurb. Very good period period features and nice bar area but a bit of a let down to be honest for the price.

We were looking forward to staying at the Bell during the weekend of our friends wedding which was held locally. We were particularly looking forward to it as a large number of the wedding party were also staying there and a carvery lunch was arranged for the next day. Unfortunately our stay at the Bell (and that of other guests...

There was a collection of poor customer service and extremely poor quality rooms to compound what should have been a joyous occasion for a group of friends and family during a weekend in september. Arrived and checked in, room was a little unusual in shape, however 3 main issues were, extremely uncomfortable bed (springs were actually poking out of it,...

I was due to be staying at the Bell Inn on 3rd September for my best mates wedding. However on arrival we were told there had been an issue with the bookings and that they had given our room away. It soon became apparent that this was part of a wider issue and that they had also given away the...

We visited this hotel in 2013 and were happy with pretty much everything back then. But upon returning this year, I will be warning everyone off this place - especially groups. I've never known somewhere to take such a serious dive in quality. While we booked our room in November 2015 (for a September 2016 wedding), it seemed to be...

We reserved the whole of The Bell for guests for our recent wedding which was held nearby. Several months before the big day, we asked them to keep all of the rooms back for our guests, and we specifically reserved six rooms, for ourselves, the bridesmaids, the best man and the photographer (and their respective partners). I confirmed this some...

Had a 'bar menu' lunch was a hot day so sat outside inside in 'garden' was stifling inside other than behind the bar where a fan gave staff some relief. Difficult to know how their ordering system works. There are three boards up on the wall near the bar with specials and other items, also a rack with menus but...

Just decided to go for an evening drive round and ended up in Winslow and decided to try the carvery. What a result, best carvery I've ever had. Tons of meat and all thick cuts. Crispy roasters and parsnips and a great choice of other veggies as well. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be coming back

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Welcome to The Bell Hotel Winslow, ideally located for anyone seeking an Aylesbury hotel or Milton Keynes hotel. Our hotel lies in the centre of the historical market town of Winslow, enriched with quaint boutique stores and situated in the midst of the Buckinghamshire countryside. All our bedrooms are en-suite, well appointed and comfortable with tastefully colour coordinated fabrics and furnishings. We provide four executive rooms with the luxury of jacuzzi baths and four poster beds, as well as three family rooms and our range of double, twin and single rooms. In late 2012, the hotel was purchased by its previous owners who are once again providing a daily 'hands on management' approach towards the running of the hotel. Very popular with local residents of the town, "Rosies" Bar has now moved to the hotel and their well known management offer a wide range of Beers, Wines and Spirits along with an extensive and appetizing Bar Menu, created by their original chefs. The Bell Hotel is composed of "Rosies" Bar, plus a Carvery Restaurant - serving up to 160 people - a TV lounge, Coffee Lounge and ample free parking for all guests. Free internet access is available in all public areas. We supply meeting and conference facilities as well as catering for a large number of private functions and weddings for which we also hold a civil ceremony license. We look forward to seeing you here at The Bell Hotel. ... more   less
