We've stayed at Hunters Lodge many times over the three years our daughter has been at the university in Crewe. But this was by far the most disappointing visit we've had. Not only did I discover I'd paid £24 per night more by booking through Booking.com, the room was freezing cold. I did complain twice to reception and again when... More

Fantastic, brilliant lovely place. We stayed the night to meet up with some family for a meal and what a great time we had. The staff were fantastic and the food was well worth waiting for. The room was lovely and the breakfast was to die for. We have booked again for Dec to meet with family again.

We were a party of 6 and we couldn't fault any of the food or service. The food was especially good, excellent menu and the presentation was fabulous, 10 out of 10 for the chef. We certainly will be dining there again , as we had an excellent evening.

As a 90th Birthday celebration we arranged to have a small party (9 people) for Afternoon tea. The service was exemplary with the staff looking after us from the moment we arrived to when we left. The sandwiches (choice of 4) with crusts removed were freshly made and cakes (again choice of 4) were also good especially the forest fruit... More

My daughter had her wedding here back in May, we had the Autumn Suite and from start to finish we couldn't have had a better day, everything was perfect and all the staff were so very helpful, the grounds were lovely for all the many photographs and even the sun shone all day. Can recommend very highly and thankyou for... More

Visiting area and stayed here (double room and 2 singles). Check-in was easy and efficency, though full payment was taken upfront. Room was VERY dated and tired. Bed was fairly comfortable though. Gym on site which was suitable for visiting office people! Good WiFi. Breakfast was good (full English, self service ) and staff were excellent. Plenty of parking available.

Stayed here several times already and I keep coming back. The hotel itself is a charming barn conversion. Staff politeness, comfy rooms and fabulous pub food make me keep coming back. Location wise is also only 5-10 min drive from the city centre. I've stayed in many different hotels close by but Hunters Lodge really stands out. I also recommend... More

We booked a superior room, which was on the ground floor overlooking the courtyard. This was a good standard, but we felt a little exposed without any net curtain, as people walked right past the window. Dinner was only available in the bar, owing to a wedding reception being held in the dining room, which was a big disappointment for... More

This "lodge" has more the feel of a motel. Our accommodation was a room linked to the main building accessed via a narrow hallway. The room was ok although there was an unusual aroma within which may or may not have been limited to this one room. It was warm and cozy and to be fair, despite there being a... More
