very good location, comfortable room, helpful staff and great breakfast. All in all, very good value for money. We came for a football match so unlikely to come again but would recommend to anyone wishing to stay overnight.

The Hotel is close to the Railway Station and Football Stadium It has a Private Car Park. This is okay, for a stop over. I do wish Hotels would not use energy saving Light bulbs in the Foyer and Reception areas. They make the place look drab before they start to light up the area. The Breakfast was very Good.

Ideal location for railway station, only 5 minutes walk. If coming by car, plenty private parking. Nice cheerful welcome. Clean, comfortable rooms, single slit tie cramped. Small bar of soap, no shower gel or shampoo. No evening meals at week end. Good breakfast, cooked to order.

Just stayed for one night but it was clean, friendly and included full breakfast for £40 double en-suite! Breakfast was cereals, yoghurts and fruit in addition to cooked items and my friends said the room was better than the Portland in Manchester where we stayed for 2 nights before (although that's not saying much!) Very good value.

The ambience is one of serenity. Relaxed at reception, with decor appropriate for the surroundings. Bedrooms compact and comfortable. Dining room for breakfast enables privacy to be observed, and the food well presented. Business lunches for groups hosted, with a very acceptable menu of four main dishes. All good value for money.

Booked for 3 nights with friends for a conference nearby. Very basic, noisy (road and trains) and small. First night needed earplugs. Second night needed earplugs and TV on and still couldn't sleep. Road, trains, music (within the hotel but there is a live music venue nearby as well) but worst of all a poorly person in the room next...

I booked 2 nights here because it was a central location. Having only been here for a few hours I am already considering checking out and finding somewhere else to stay tomorrow night. The first thing that was noticeable on a arrival was a distinctive musty smell when at reception. When I got to my room I was disappointed from...

Needing pet friendly accommodation for husband, son, dog and myself I booked for self catering. We had kitchen/diner, lounge, downstairs loo, 2 bedrooms and bathroom. Everything was spotlessly clean and comfortable. I have no hesitation in recommending the Waverley for value and facilities. In the end we didn't have the dog with us but would happily stay there again.

Thank Bobbie C
