We have just returned from 4 nights at the Holly Bush Inn which we used as a base to explore Cheshire. This was such a lovely little inn, perfect for us. The staff couldn't be kinder or more welcoming, our twin room (number 6) was immaculately clean, and furnished simply but comfortably, and even though it looked out over the...

We stayed for 2 nights, staff very good, room was clean but very tired, could do with update. Had an evening meal which was very nice and value for money. We would stay there again and have breakfast next time as we booked room only.

Very welcoming old English Inn, with cosy log fire in the bar set in the oldest part of the building. The food was good, well priced, but be warned, the portion sizes are very large. The room we had was comfortable; set in the old Granary building adjacent to the pub. The breakfast was also good, offering a full English,...

Stayed one night in the attractively converted barn next to the pub. Comfortable stay in two very reasonably priced rooms. Warm welcome and excellent service throughout. As mentioned in another review, there were some creaks from floor above but only heard it briefly a couple of times and it didn't really bother us - otherwise couldn't fault it, no traffic...

Stayed here over the weekend while down for a family christening. Nice accomodation, amazing Full English Breakfast (with Hash Browns???) Only negative was the creaky floorboards from the room above. We were in room 3.

I stopped here on a biking holiday and the staff were extremely accommodating. I was able to securely park and lock my bike without worry. The room was beautiful and comfortable. I got a great night's sleep. In addition the restaurant had a great menu. Loved this historic hotel and would love to come back someday.

I needed to stay somewhere within easy reach of Manchester but away from the expensive catchment area of the city or the airport. This fitted the bill and on the strength of reviews on Tripadvisor I booked a room at what I thought was a very reasonable price. I was not convinced I would get a good night's sleep as...

First visit on Saturday evening and it won't be my last. Upon arriving we were told it was very busy but there may be a table shortly so we went to the tap for a drink , what a great space and excellent range of unusual beers they had on offer for people who like to dabble in different brews....
