We should've heeded the warnings more about the place being warm/hot. We thought that going in November would mean room temperatures were OK. When we arrived, there was just one rad on in the room, which we turned off and opened the window. But the place is superbly insulated with thick walls. There are also spotlights everywhere, which may be...

Stayed over whilst visiting family nearby. When we checked in we were greeted with a warm welcome by the friendly staff. We were very surprised by the spacious size of our room and the lovely en-suite bathroom. Everything very clean and fresh. We book a table of 15 to celebrate a family birthday, lots of choice on the menu, we...

We booked a night in what we understood was a typical English Hotel/pub not too far from (actually far too close to) the M6. We arrived at 2100 and it was shut. No bar, no meals just a collection of flyers from local carry outs. It doesn't bother to open on Sunday evening as it makes so much money on...

I stayed here one Saturday evening with my partner and we both really enjoyed it... a very clean room and excellent bathroom... we had a light tea in the bar which was ok... close to knutsford centre cost £10 in a taxi! We didn't stay for the breakfast but boy did it smell good 😀

Visited here for a quick bite to eat after visiting an elderly relative in a nearby care home. Both of us are veggie but usually there's a couple of things on even the most boring of pub menus; sadly not this time. Only option was a mushroom stroganoff in a brandy sauce. Sorry to be awkward but we don't drink...

My boyfriend and I were travelling back from the Lake District and fancied a bite to eat en route home. I ordered a baguette which was soggy but edible. However my boyfriend had the burger with added cheese which was £1.50 extra, so in total his was £12.45. A quality burger you would expect for that price. It was however,...

Staff are so well mannered, food is always gorgeous and is one of the most cosy places to spend a family night our. I would highly recommend this place for a great drink, meal or stay over... stayed over a few months...

Booked the room at the windmill as visiting Oulten park. Was a bit concerned how the room would be before we arrived. However went to the bar to check in, very friendly and quick. Went to room 2 and was pleasantly surprised. Large clean room. Didn't eat here as reviews weren't great but the food I saw looked good. No...

We needed an overnight stop to break our journey - the Windmill offered so much more. We stayed in room 5 which was spacious and immaculate. The menu offered great choice at good prices. The food good and fresh, and my Husband rated the beer. Best of all were the staff, friendly and helpful, great service with a smile. We...
