Amazing staff, amazing food , spa area lovely , would highly recommend this place had the most fantastic time, I have never stayed anywhere so unique before it was simply out of this world ! Had to ask staff in the spa for a pillow & slippers but only a minor thing. Can not wait to book again. Also met...

Stayed here one night for a bit of fun, as we spent the afternoon driving a Discovery Sport through mud, deep water and inclined rocky shelves (great experience ) and the hotel is just across the courtyard. Staff very friendly at check in, the Executive room booked ( Bickerton I think) was on the first floor and well appointed if...

Firstly, don't complain about the remote location. In this day and age there is no excuse for booking somewhere in the middle of nowhere. Use a map. Want a city break? Then book one. Staff miserable? Then treat them better. We found them to be excellent, everyone acknowledged us whatever the position. The food was superb. Limit the menu and...

We enjoyed an excellent three course dinner and breakfast at the castle. My husband was particularly impressed by the quality of the roast dinner! Rooms were very comfortable but we were disturbed by other guests retuning to their rooms in the early hours. The staff were very friendly and attentive. It has a very nice setting but if you don't...

The wedding was beautiful. The castle is stunning, staff helpful, food delicious. However, we were left perplexed that a hotel of this standard should have let us down. We booked what we thought was a deluxe room (no 401) for £195 pounds per night. The only direct route to it was up a very chilly stone spiral staircase of 68...

My daughter and I stayed at Peckforton Castle, arriving on Christmas Eve and staying overnight for lunch on Christmas Day. We had been for Christmas lunch a few years ago but this was the first time we had stayed overnight. Even though we had visited the castle before, the sight of it, as we drove through the archway, was still...

My husband booked Peckforton castle as a surprise night away as I am 8 months pregnant. We arrived to a beautiful castle in an amazing location. Check in was easy and the staff were friendly and helpful. Valet parking was a godsend. My husband had booked a pregnancy massage for me and we were the only ones in the spa....

An amazing castle beautiful entrance. Stayed here one night stranded room went for lunch at the brassier shared platter for two. We thought the spa was included which comprised of two hot tubs a sauna and a tropical shower in a small area when we spoke to the assistant she informed us it was £15 each which we were surprised...

Thank you for your review! I am glad that you have enjoyed your time with us and had a pleasant experience. We do charge a £15 walk-in fee for the spa facilities for residence. This is out of respect for the guests directly using the Spa, as we are only small. The fee entitles the guest to our robes and...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Welcome to Peckforton Castle - An enchanting Hotel in the heart of Cheshire. Rising majestically above the Cheshire landscape, the castle is both enigmatic and enchanting. Originally the home of Lord Tollemache and built in the early 19th Century, this Grade I listed building is the only intact medieval style Castle in the country. Over the years the castle has been the location for numerous movies including Robin Hood and Dr Who. Now owned by the Naylor family, the stunning exterior has been complemented by a loving and considered restoration programme resulting in a magnificent hotel and venue offering contemporary luxury and impeccable service. Services include 48 stunning individual guest rooms, conference, events, and wedding facilities for up to 180. Tranquility beauty, on site Falconry and team activities all adding up to a rather magical experience. Dining at the Castle truly is a special occasion, welcoming the public as well as hotel guests. The 1851 Restaurant offers a dining experience fit for royalty. Holder of 3 AA Rosettes and a Taste Cheshire Award. Alternatively the more informal and cosmopolitan 2010 Brasserie, located in the former scullery of the castle, features many of the amazing features of the original scullery including two cast iron cooking ranges dating back to the 1840's. Peckforton Castle's enchanting medieval style beauty and stunning location make it a truly impressive and desirable venue for weddings, christenings, birthday parties, or just about anything that's worth celebrating. Everything plays a part; the fabulous setting, stunning location, the attentive service and smiling faces, the bespoke menus and decorations. A magnificent venue for conferencing and meetings. Within the medieval walls, old and new combine seamlessly to offer state of the art multi media and conference facilities. Captivating on arrival, Peckforton Castle's unspoilt, natural beauty will stimulate and motivate, delight the eye, inspire the mind, tantalise the taste buds and leave you enchanted. ... more   less
