Stayed one night for a family get together. Lovely relaxed atmosphere throughout the stay . Comfortable, clean room. Dinner and breakfast were superb - staff very friendly with nothing too much trouble. Definately recommend and hope to return.

I stayed here for just one night. I received a very friendly welcome on arrival. Even though it was late I was asked if I would like anything to eat. Room was very clean and just what I needed for a one night stop over. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were very chatty and friendly. I would definitely stop... More

Very warm and welcoming atmosphere. Jim, Janice (and molly the Labrador) are great hosts that make you feel at home. The food was excellent, as was the large selection of different gins behind the bar. We will definitely come back!

Having visited Alston previously and eaten here a few times, and had drinks at lunch in the beer garden, this was my first stay. I chose to stay here this time because the quality of evening meals was superb, as were the owners and staff. Absolutely nothing too much trouble. Beautifully quaint rooms in keeping with age of hotel, spotlessly... More
