Following an enjoyable hike on Alston Moor, my wife, Fidget the dog and I called in at the Turks Head on Alston's market square. If you are in Alston and are in need of refreshment and a good natter then this is the place to be. A locals pub, usually has good crack and is very friendly, a well known place too visit in Alston, can be very busy at times.

The turks head is a quaint typical english country pub with great beers, however the food is good/bad depending on if you are a meat eater.
