We arrived without booking, on a day when they had just finished a big event of some kind but the owners still gave us a very warm welcome. We were in a camper van so we were staying on the hard standing which also had a giant tipi erected in it at the time (possibly from the event). We were...

We komen hier zeker terug! Haggs Bank is a beautifully situated campsite that is well-kept and which...

If you're doing the Coast-to-Coast cycle in 5 days, this is a great place to stay for day3, particularly if taking the Alston option. It is also perfect for discovering the area. We stayed at the campsite. Danny, the welcoming and lovely owner, has levelled out a series of terraces above the bunkhouse. These are as flat as a billiard...

Yes the campervan park is like a layby, but a great layby nice and level with electric points. It is fronted by low stone and wild flower walls and at the rear a bank that also has wild flowers and the river Nent beyond and below, so no chance of flooding. The main A689 runs past the site, but this...

Stayed for a family break in the campsite 15/08/16 for a week. Had a fantastic break. The site owner could not have been more welcoming or helpful during our stay. The toilet and shower facilities were both spotless and of a high standard (the most important thing to me when camping). The campsite was very quiet. We were the only...

Excellent place to stop. Excellent facilities and kitchen together with secure storage for the bikes. This is the second year we`ve stopped at Haggs Bank as it provides a guaranteed night out of the rain(we camp for the other 3 nights) at halfway and an opportunity to wash and dry kit if necessary. Highly recommended.

The place is well run and the bunkhouse is both warm and immaculately clean. Excellent kitchen, toilet and shower facilities. This is a wild and isolated area althouth there is a pub within 20 minutes walking distance of...

Another fantastic stay at this bunkhouse. Clean, tidy, spacious and very welcoming owners. If you are looking for a bunkhouse in the area it is the only place you should choose to stay. This was our second stay at this place and it was as good as the first time.
