Me and my husband stayed at the lodore from 6th - 10th August. We had our wedding ceremony and night do at the hotel and the staff did not disappoint. I stayed with my bridesmaids the night before my wedding in the penthouse suite which was lovely. I was a little disappointed as a guest had complained we were making...

I took my husband away for his birthday and on arrival at the hotel, we were immediately upgraded to a fantastic room with a balcony, allowing us great views of the lake and mountains. The service was excellent throughout our stay and we dined in the hotel restaurant where the food was exquisite. We hope to stay again and would...

We thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay here. Room was clean and comfortable, only fault was no air conditioning so the room became very hot overnight when we didn't want the Juliet balcony door open. Five course meal was exceptional, great value for the price and good gaps between courses. Taste combinations great and good quality food. Lounge area was...

With no prior warning we were allocated a suite rather than the lake view room booked. It was satisfactory if rather old fashioned. The balcony looked straight out on to the main road and a bus stop directly opposite. Bus noise (a frequent double-decker service runs by) and lack of privacy resulted. The bathroom was well appointed but it was...

We travelled on the Keswick launch to see the falls and to have lunch at the hotel. In our case it was a late lunch. This is a beautiful hotel with amazing views. On the day we want they were amazingly busy as lots of people had driven, walked or came on the boat for lunch or afternoon tea. There...

Arrived after a long walk around the lake. Sat down in the main bar for our favourite scones which we love at the lodore. Before tucking in we were overpowered by terrible music which I can only describe as strange euro pop or one of those cheap CDs bought when an establishment does not want to pay the licence fee...

The service we received having our afternoon tea on arrival didn't create a good first impression, as they seemed to have lost our order. The room was lovely and we were upgraded to a lake view. The dinner was good, albeit quite plain food, and the service professional. Breakfast service was very good. Fabulous location with beautiful walks. The gardens...

Coming from Cumbria but now living in Manchester the iconic ladore falls was always a hotel I wanted to stay in so as part of our anniversary weekend we booked the Friday night to stay there before moving to the borrowdale just down the road.. We stayed at the Lodore Falls hotel over Saturday 15th August from which we arrived earlier than the check in time of 3pm when the room would be ready. We were looked after wonderfully by the reception staff who kept our bags and also allowed us to use the Leisure facilities before we checked into the room which we were...
