12 months ago my wife and I stayed here and were so impressed with every aspect that we returned again. We were not disappointed and the rooms, restaurant, staff and general ambience did not disappoint. Plus the amazing walks on the doorstep add another dimension to your stay - even in a wet and windy English summer.

If your thinking of having a wedding here you may need to think again as the wedding planners have no attention to detail after you have paid your thousands in the fact of attempting to throw away items you have brought for your special day, chucking cameras away that your guests have captured special moments on, and there rush approach...

Oh dear! How standards fall. We stopped for coffee on Wednesday morning, cycling in from Keswik. My wife went to order but was dumbfounded when the member of staff clearly had no idea what so ever what a cafeteria was! Now there was a language issue but surely an establishment such as this must actually train their staff? Perhaps not....

Dear ‘MrM1965’ Thank you for your review following your most recent visit to Lodore Falls, I’m so sorry to hear that on this occasion the service fell short of our normal high level. Whilst I was away that week I have since spoken to the person responsible for the Bar to focus further on training with the team in the...

It was our 25th wedding anniversary and Lodore Falls did not disappoint. DBB for 2 nights with a lake view upgrade was well worth it. Had a double room with a veranda , although compact in size, lovely decor and view was fabulous. From the welcoming coffee of scones & cream, to the superb evening meals to the best breakfasts...

My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary on a Travelzoo voucher. The hotel was excellent in a great location. What made it extra special was the staff were really friendly and service was excellent! We had a three course meal in the restaurant as part of our voucher and again excellent!

Stayed 2 nights while attending a wedding at the hotel. Check in was quick and friendly. Did say on confirmation letter that a porter would be on hand to help with luggage but we didn't see one. We booked a standard room and found this to be very clean and a very a comfortable bed. All food was lovely and...

A fabulous location, Excellent food and service. Very friendly staff . Would recommend the 5 course menu. Breakfast top of the range. Views from the hotel across Derwentwater are stunning. Try to catch the views at dusk.

My husband took his mother to the Lodore Falls for lunch. In the main lounge they ordered a ham sandwich with salad. The bread was cheap and horrible and the salad consisted of lettuce and one quarter of a tomato, and was not even dressed.

Myself and my partner have just returned from getting married here on 29th July 2015. Wow!!!! What can I say, this hotel is wonderful and in the most stunning location I have ever seen. Check in was faultless, the rooms were beautifully appointed and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The wedding co-ordinator's were extremely professional and helped...
