We stayed with Chris and Roger at Ghyll Farm B & B after walking from St Bees to Ennerdale Bridge. The B & B is in a tasteful and modern conversion of a barn and is immaculately kept. The setting is tranquil and idyllic (the garden is also beautifully kept) and the views are outstanding. I wish we could have...

We stayed at Ghyll Farm on the first night of our Coast to Coast trip. This was the second time we've stayed there, and it simply reinforced what a perfect place it was to soak away the first day's walking. The guides may deter people, because it's located a little outside the village, but honestly the short walk is worth...

Although this B&B is a bit off of the Coast-2-Coast trail, the extra 1.6 mile walk was well rewarded by an outstanding stay at this charming inn. Our rooms were situated in a private garden with sweeping views over hilly green pastures. Very bucolic! The rooms in a converted barn dating from the 1800s were recently renovated with impeccable attention...

Just spent 4 nights at Ghyll Farm B & B. The accommodation was excellent, clean and tidy. Roger and Chris were friendly and able to guide us with their local knowledge. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was excellent with lots of choice and good size portions. This property is one of the best B & B I have...

After a full day on our feet as part of the coast to coast walk, we were delighted to finally arrive at this gem of a farm. Please note that the farm is a good 1.5 MILE out of Ennerdale Bridge so prepare for the extra time on your feet. Remember to phone ahead so that Chris and Roger know...

Lovely B&B in a beautiful location, with a great stroll from the garden to a view point. Hosts Roger & Christine are very welcoming & friendly. The accommodation was very comfortable & clean. Breakfast, which included fresh fruit salad, was very good. One thing to note: in the Henry Stedman v.6 C2C Path book states that the distance from the...

Hosts Chris & Roger very helpful and friendly. Great location for exploring the western lakes. We stayed in Tan which is very well presented. Attractive garden which would be even better when the rhododendrons come out in a few weeks time. We saw Ospreys female still on nest . Would be even more activity when the eggs hatch towoards the...

We stayed at Ghyll Farm for one night this weekend and it was delightful. The room was beautifully fitted and was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was cooked to each persons individual tastes and available fresh to order at the time of our choosing and used local produce. The proprietors, Roger and Christine, were extremely friendly and welcoming but without being overbearing....
