What a great pub! If you are fortunate to be able to sit outside then you will be rewarded. Y stunning views. If it's cooler there are large umbrellas and heaters Great selection of ales which usually includes Hawkshead and Wainrights Tremendous food on a regularly changing menu and don't forget the specials board Busy location so worth getting there...

Somewhat off the beaten track this was a 'surprise find'. The food was good - the amount of fries was excessive but this is not a complaint! The staff were helpful and overall this place was quite good value. Only had a meal - did not stay

We enjoyed a drop by lunch at the Masons Arms today. LA11 6NW postcode for sat. Nav. Is useful to have keyed in- unless you have good navigation skills! We enjoyed Swan draught ale after ordering food. It was light & lovely (£3.50 a pint).Three in the party enjoyed main courses of Haunch of venison, Crispy belly pork & Ham...

Ate here at lunch time and was not disappointed. Service very good, all staff polite and friendly despite being rushed off their feet. Food was amazing and well worth the drive. We did not book, and only waited a short while to get a table. Never had a bad meal here.

Decorated and equipped to a very good standard...

My husband and I had a delicious meal here last week. We sat outside so we could take in the beautiful view. We had starters and mains and they were all fantastic. The service was very good too. The pub was very busy but in a good way. We will be back next time we are in the lakes.

We stopped here on spec as the outside view was spectacular. There are a good number of outside tables and chairs with umbrellas ( for rain or sun protection). Amazing menu where you are stuck to decide as you want everything. How often can you say that? Eventually opted for toasted bun with bbq pulled pork with coleslaw and crispy...

We stopped off here for dinner after having been out walking during the afternoon. Its a lovely country pub nestled amongst some beautiful scenery. There seems to be a good mix of locals and tourists that visit it. The food we ordered (pie of the day, and a summer salad) was good pub food, and it came promptly.

Awesome place to stop by for lunch. Stunning view from the outside tables. Great little walks close by to work up an appetite. I recommend the ribs on the menu. Staff are polite - we didnt stay over just ate and drank.

We stayed in Lyth Cottage which has three levels - the kitchen and dining area on the first level, the lounge on the second and the bedroom on the third. The bathroom is on the same level as the bedroom and is wonderfully clean and well equipped with bath, hand and rain shower. The water pressure is good and the...
