Our second visit this year, this time we stayed four nights. Everything is run like clockwork by the owners Chris, Andrea and the excellent staff. Food really excellent and good value. wine list is extensive and not over the top either. Good old fashioned hospitality is provided that is often vacant from many similar country hotels. Well done Aynsome. We...

Stayed with family for a weekend reunion getaway. Hotel is in a quiet location and surrounded by beautiful countryside. There are a range of walks straight from the hotel or by driving into Cartmel and walking from there. Rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean. Ate at the hotel both nights, superb food choice, quality and service. Chris one of the...

This is a family run hotel with a lovely cozy and friendly atmosphere from the real fire to the 'old' items and paintings that decorate this lovely manor. Breakfast was fabulous and the service great. It was ideally located in a quiet lane just outside Cartmel. I'd recommend anyone to stay, you won't be disappointed!

Spent 3 nights here recently and thoroughly enjoyed it. Beautiful small country house hotel with friendly staff and good food. The hotel is small enough for guests to feel they are known and valued and guests get chatting over aperitifs in the lounge before dinner. Cartmel is nearby as are other places of interest. Would recommend.

Aynsome Manor is in our opinion a 'first class' hotel. This not necessarily for the amenities or standard of the accommodation but the wonderful welcome we received and the overall standard of everything. The owners run a superb establishment. We had a great bedroom with an excellent view of the countryside. All the meals we had were first class. The...

We stayed for one night (b&b) at this impressive and well-maintained hotel. On arrival we were greeted in a welcoming and friendly manner and then escorted to our room (no 9). After unpacking we had a welcome coffee downstairs and later sandwiches/drinks in the first floor lounge. All the public rooms are tastefully decorated especially the imposing main dining room....

We enjoyed our stay here. Slightly dated rooms but great value and comfortable enough. Very friendly and helpful service. Lovely bathroom in our room, nice big bath and good shower. Cracking view from the hotel itself.

Spent three nights at Aynsome Manor and had a really lovely stay. There was no one thing that made this stay so nice, it was more that the whole thing just worked really well. Comfortable room, charming, friendly, helpful and efficient staff, really well organized, excellent food, beautiful location etc etc etc. Stayed in a room in the "Cottage" ie...
