We had a couple of days free at short notice and rather than pack the tent etc, we decided to try a camping pod at the National Trust campsite in Wasdale. This was our first time at this campsite but wow! A great welcome from very friendly staff, a small but very well stocked shop and what views! The shower...

This campsite is lovely, it has good facilities, toilet block/shop/laundry room/washing up area, the site is clean and well presented. There is a hotel/bar within walking distance that does lovely food and is dog friendly. The site is perfectly situated for hiking up Scafell Pike which was our reason for our stay. The site is quiet (unless like us you...

It is in a lot very spot at the edge of Wasdale lake however you have over an hour of extremely narrow country lanes, some extremely steep to get to it. The staff onsite are very friendly and helpful and...

This review is for a recent visit with our camper van. The pitches for the vans are wholly inadequate. It's no wonder there are no photos of the pitches on the website as there is not even enough room to sit alongside the vans in the main section. This therefore led us to 'having' to move to a small section...
