Gosforth Hall Inn offers some of the best bedrooms on the Western side of the Lake District National Park. The Inn is located on the Wasdale Road, leading to Wastwater and Scafell Pike and is a great location for walkers, climbers, photographers and those wanting to visit the beauty of the Lakes. Annex rooms at Gosforth Hall are dog friendly and dogs are allowed in the bar, lounge and beer garden. The restaurant and Hall bedrooms do not allow dogs. The Hall was built in 1658 and is Grade II* listed offering bedrooms with original features including sandstone walls and oak beams. The Annex rooms all have super king beds which could be converted into twins, solid oak floors and doors, with a number of rooms offering views of the fells. All rooms are en-suite and offer flat screen TVs, complimentary teas/coffees and toiletries. We stayed 3 nights in main hall building. Lovely big room with modern bathroom great to return to after a day's walking. Breakfast very tasty and we also enjoyed two evening meals which were home cooked and good value.

Stayed here multiple times on business and its always good. The main hall rooms are larger and slightly more expensive but worth it. Open fires in bar area are nice and the food is good too. Large area outside for drinking in the summertime -...More

Lovely hotel - charming staff and warm comfy rooms which were welcoming and well appointed. Breakfast was yummy and the lounge area was open to all with newspapers and friendly service. Great little place within 5 minutes drive of the sea!
