Stayed for one night with my 11 year old son before climbing a very windy and wet Scarfell. My son likes 'chains' and I wanted him to experience something different and this was perfect. Lovely views, delicious breakfast and lovely big room. And cheaper than...More
Great yurt. We stayed in both of the yurts and me and my brother stayed in the little yurt. This is by far the best yurt we’ve stayed in and we’ve stayed in about 3-4. I loved every bit. Well worth the money and the...More
Our fourth visit and it was just as good as every other time we've stayed. We always get a warm welcome, a comfortable room and an excellent cooked breakfast. Just what's needed for days out on the hills. We appreciated the lovely hot shower after...More

Hi, We are situated between Gosforth village and Nether Wasdale, approximately one and a half hour's drive from Ambleside and on the west coast. We are also only 5 miles from the foot of Scafell Pike - England's highest mountain and Wastwater - England's deepest lake and voted Britain's best view. We do accept dogs in our B&B and self catering cottage. We would not recommend staying here if you want or need to be in Ambleside but please visit our website again or contact us for further info if required. I look forward to hearing from you further and thank you for your interest Debbie Hughes
