Massive thank you, incredible accommodation we loved the decor throughout very well done. The family couldn’t be any more friendly. Breakfast was perfect, I don’t like eating away from home but breakfast was incredible. They offer evening meals we eat twice their that was perfect to really cheap and I admit I’m the most fussy eater you get very strict on healthy food needs catered well for. The room was spacious, clean and bed very comfortable. Really helpful having a fridge in the room. A well needed break we will be back.

Nice b&b. Decent size rooms, clean, well decorated. Ours even had tv, fridge and microwave. The breakfast was a decent full English, with cereal, juice, coffee etc as you fancied.
Location was OK, Millom is a bit of a one horse town, but the beach are of nearby Haverig is pretty and you're in striking distance of Lake Windemere.
Overall a decent place, especially for the money.

I am not quite sure where to start but I would advise anyone to avoid booking this Guesthouse based on our experience.
We arrived and per notice on the door called the number and someone arrived. We were asked if we had any allergies and then given a room., we went to the room and at first it seemed quite nice until you really looked. It was dusty and probably hadn’t been hoovered for a while. The bed was the noisiest bed you ever heard, it creaked to high heaven and if my partner rolled over, I was awake, and this was vice versa. If one of us got up during the night both of us were awake and if you opened the on-suite bathroom door I am sure it woke other Guesthouse users. As well as this if any other guest opened and closed their bedroom door it was heard throughout the B&B. We were exhausted by lack of sleep following our stay.
Breakfast was a joke, you were given a seat in the dining room, and no sooner had you taken your seat ordered tea or coffee then your breakfast arrived, no choice was given just a full breakfast, (Lukewarm). We tried to be subtle the following morning and order just what we wanted but we were told oh the breakfast is already prepared just take off what you don’t want. Again, another lukewarm at best breakfast with no napkins or condiments on offer. I’m not so sure the bacon was even introduced to the frying pan. The orange juice was given in the whole carton rather than a jug. There were not enough tables for all the guest so complete strangers ended up sitting at our table too.
The member of staff was polite and helpful, but she looked unkempt with her clothes looking like they could do with a good wash as well as her telling us she had been on the drink the previous night. (We all enjoy a night on the drink but not when you have can’t do your job in the morning)

We stayed at this B&B for 2 nights on the first night the fire alarm went off all in the B&B evacuated but as there's no owner on site we rang the number left on the desk only to be met by a answer machine!!! Eventually got through and the owner arrived didn't check the property just mentioned it goes off alot its very sensitive and switched the alarm off, pretty disturbing to be honest.
The B&B serves its purpose altho not exactly clean ie stains on carpets and mould in shower, damp around windowsill, kettle leaks etc but bed was clean and comfortable. Breakfast wasn't to our liking, tinned mushrooms ewww!. Parking is a bit of a task . We wouldn't stay here again.

booked for 1 person but two people arrived really got the hump when we caught them trying to leave without paying for second person ordered poached eggs then decided they didn't want breakfast so l had to waste food. My alarm system is brillent a lady informed my daughter that she had sprayed deodrant next to the alarms hence no check also our fire alarm board informs us where the alarm was set off. both women were smokers and left the door opened so that smoke drifted in. Rude and dont like to pay

Check in, you have to ring for someone to come and open the door for you as there is no staff on sight. Young girl polite who checked us in and took us to our room. On appearance the room although a little dated appeared quite clean. However upon inspection of the mattress , all was not good. Urine stained, dried blood stains and mold. Absolutely disgusting. We called the lady back who came with a sheet to cover the mattress over. Totally not acceptable and when I voiced this, I was told there were no other rooms available and further more why would I pull the sheets back off a made up bed. Shocking response. When I suggested the bed needed a new mattress the response was that mattress’s were very expensive to buy. Consequently we left the establishment to find accommodation elsewhere. Within 10 minutes of leaving the Pavillion rang me to say that we had upset the lady and she was in tears. We had tried to address the mattress with tact and diplomacy and there was no reason for her to be upset. I found the whole situation appalling, besides the health hazard of being expected to sleep on a discussing urine blood stained mattress. In my opinion an inspection from environmental health is much needed and the place closing down.

The proprietors are not responsible for the ghastly town in which it is located. Millom is, quite frankly, the poorest and least attractive town I have ever stayed in. The foolish residents of its stone-faced buildings clearly decided en masse to pebble dash the place in the seventies or something. It looks awful. The few eateries that were open offered barely digestible food and the ambience of a funeral parlour, but that is not down to the Pavilion. Bored adolscents roam the streets and abuse passers-by, especially if they seem to be smary southerners like us. Great.

For a god-forsaken destination like this, you could expect very little that would be better. A more serious question for you to ask is 'Why are you here?' It maybe (likely) you are in town for a funeral or for treatment for a persistent ecstatic experience disorder. In which case, Millom has the atmosphere for you. Other than that, you might have planned badly or late, and thought it close to some Lake District attractions (the roads are bad, so beware of this).

However the owners here are friendly, the breakfast is very good and the building is situated across the road from the only two things worth seeing in Millom: the cricket ground and the church. The rooms were large enough though the bathroom has seen better days. Priced accordingly, and fine if you have to be there...

A very enjoyable stay at this guest house. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. The breakfast was delicious. The owner gave such a warm welcome and I felt so well looked after during my 2 days there. Nothing was ever too much trouble. I fully recommend this guest house and will definitely be staying there again.

Stayed for 2 nights 23 and 24 June 2022. Decided to complete review now.. my room was a dump, a tip, dirty, dusty and filthy serves well to describe it. The rest you can image ~just look at the pictures the room hadn’t been cleaned for months. Awful experience
