This is a lovely hotel in a great location right on the side of the lake. Staff were very nice, and we were given a tour of the hotel on our arrival, while on the way to our room. Room was large and cosy with en-suite, but it was looking a little bit tired. The facilities are excellent with a...

We were here for a wedding and stayed two nights. Although it is expensive, everything was 5*. The service was impeccable. The food absolutely superb from an evening meal to a wedding reception to superb breakfasts. Not many places can get a four minute boiled egg spot on. The staff made it. Nothing was too much effort. Another lovely feature...

Stayed with wife and daughter for a Friday and Saturday night B&B. Amazing location and really handy for the lake cruises and steam train. Couldn't fault the food both dinner and particularly breakfast were excellent. The smoked haddock curried rice and poached egg was stunning. Pool is fine, only downside is the scruffy steam room. Didn't use the spa but...

This is a lovely venue in a gorgeous lakeside setting. You can sit outside and watch the boats or indoors in the attractive conservatory. We visited briefly to refuel after a long walk and had the nicest hot chocolate ever ! It consisted of a glass of warm milk and a swizzle stick of solid chocolate that you stirred into...

Our suite overlooked the lake and was well furnished with comfortable sofas and a great king bed with loads of cushions. En suite was very clean and well lit. Plenty of hot water. Restaurant service was very good, everyone was polite and helpful. This is our second stay here and we will definitely come again. Pool and other spa facilities...

This hotel is in a lovely position right by the lake with stunning views. This was the best thing about the hotel. In my opinion the hotel needs updating especially the bedrooms considering how much it costs. Our bedroom was room 214 and there was a lot of noise outside coming from the hotel kitchen. The bedroom looked as though...

I'm sitting in the conservatory on a wonderful sunny morning as I write this review, looking out at the superb view of Lake Windermere. A pleasant, very efficient young man has just served us a very nice locally-roasted coffee. One tip is order more of the excellent ginger shortbread! As someone who lives locally, we often come to the Lakeside...

Small stuffy room with one window overlooking alley. Limited access to hiking. Nothing to do when rainy due to isolated location on lake and no nearby hiking, shops or restaurants. If you like to eat and drink, this is good but pricey. Pretty view from dock and good breakfast.

We stayed at lakeside for 2 nights. The service was excellent and the hotel is very beautiful. The location is spot on, right next to the boats to take you to all the main locations on Windermere. Both evening meals and breakfast were excellent. And the staff are all helpful and friendly. The spa was a wonderful addition to this...
