Stopped for one night, had seen the mixed reviews and overall we enjoyed our short break. The hotel does need some updating but our room was a reasonable size and clean, although the shower control was stiff making it difficult to control the very hot water coming out. The

Hi. No you need to cross the road where the foot of Lake Windermere is accessible from the grounds of The Swan Hotel. Just about 200 yards from the entrance to the Newby Bridge Hotel.

I'm sure they will have cots but to be on the safe side ring the hotel. Ask for a room on the ground floor as there isn't a lift Jean

Hello. Thanks for your question. Room 10 would probably be your best bet as it features a double bed and 2 singles. We have other rooms more suitable for families with children such as Jasmine 6 with a double bed and then bunk beds. Do you have any dates you'd like me check availability for room 10 for? Thanks.
