Attended on 18th to the 19th September as a group of lads initially intending to do some walking in the locality. Due to the weather decided to remain at the site and drink beer and eat food, eventually remaining in the on site pub from 12-9pm having lunch and dinner on site. My friends and I attended early on the...

Can't fault the place, setting amazing, loads of walks nearby, room was spotless and comfortable. Staff friendly and knowledgeable, food good quality and great choice from pub grub menu. Special offer £59 for one night stay with tea and cake, 2 course meal and full English breakfast with fruit and juices per couple, absolute bargain! Will definitely return thanks

I have visited here a few times whilst camping, the pub sells food which is decent quality and reasonably priced considering there's no competition anywhere near. The menu has something for everyone and children's choices. The pub is dog friendly and the staff are always pleasant and helpful. Nice log burner to add a cosy feel, would benefit from some...

A great winter location to enjoy the real lakes. Far away from the noise of winderemere. This hotel as stayed a traditional lake land hostilely for over 40 years. Great staff who care about there hotel and environment. Real food and a fine selection of ales and beverages. Breakfast was awesome.

We stopped here for a pint on a walk around Brotherswater and Hartsop. Perfectly located for a halfway break, and the huge windows mean you can continue to enjoy the view of the hills. A friendly welcome for us and our dog, and a well-kept pint.

The rooms are quite small and TV tiny, the en suite is tight. But I don't care. The rooms were clean, beds comfortable and staff were great. The...
